Log indicated line of PFM was in trouble; after which you then check a new log for next trouble et.c

also  a trouble aircraft = line-entry ,  may be skipped to search for next trouble :
//MiG-21PFM       air.MIG21PFM   NOINFO   r01 SUMMER

//  nullifies what follows...

also you can nullify all entries and work at one air.ini entry at a time.

If one single entry air.ini does not work after removing-rewriting all SPACES in it, then your pre-requirements are not met

- UNINSTALL
- make sure you use SAS 5,3 and it works without this mod.
- Drop in file Mig-21 :  path SAS/Mig-21/3do   (this position of 3do guaranties proper place )
- Enter only one air.ini entry.
run         
- Then preriquisites preriquisites preriquisites as per first post if you fail.

 Said it all.  :(

   I downloaded this mod as a pre-req for the mig23 however IL-2 selector crashes with this mod it seems. Rather the game wont even get to the loading screen and boots me back to the IL-2 selector. (Not even producing a log file from the game) I have only the mig-21 mod in the folder at the time, thus singling out the selector crash to the mod. Removing the mig-21 mod from my normal mod setup allows me to get to the loading screen, however as expected crashes at 20% due to the missing pre-req mig-21 files for the mig-23 mod.(removing the mig-23 mod fixes this)

I have updated drivers,windows,java,il-2,selector and every pre-req for the mig21 mod.

On a whim I deleted the last modified file in the mig-21 folder

Deleting this allows the game to launch however the mod is broken.Redownloading/reinstalling the mod results in the same.

The nose wheel is hard to react and extends to the right

Hi, zsoltquack .....

How is your CTD problems in installing MiG-21 ?
Hubberranz and other SAS members were concerned about you and gave advises to lead you to solving the problem.
Please not to leave troubles you wrote, when solved ..... report as SOLVED in the topic.


Btw, original MiG-21 didn't have Active nose gear steering function.
Taxing turn was made by main gears left / right differential braking.
This mod simulates that historical one.

I installed the latest add-ons
(this is my surprise too)  ;D
I love this package!

I know the differential braking, but I don't react well!

The Sukhoi package is perfectly controllable!

Another interesting thing is that the  of the Mig-15/17 types nose wheel rotate

The Sukhoi package is perfectly controllable!

I don't have enough knowledge about historical Su-7/9/17/22 ....

When their historical spec didn't have active steering as same as MiG-21 ..... but its MOD plane has active steering ..... it means the mod is bugged against historical.


In easy guessing ..... Su-17/22 are late models and possible to be updated with active steering .... I don't know my guessing is true or false.
US A-4 Skyhawk series was upgraded in its developing history.
A-4 B/C/E didn't have active steering , and upgraded F/M had active steering ..... in example.

All Su's had active nose-wheel steering.

MiG's (21 and older) had differential steering with single brake lever (on joystick). Meaning you have to press brake + use rudder (Su-35 was the first Soviet/Russian plane to ever have German-style differential braking with brakes on rudder pedals!). MiG-23 and on had active steering. I am already working on MiG-21 rework. Will include finally working radar again, FM changes, loadout changes (for example correct launching rails for missiles; however I cannot really do this for the early MiG-21's without changing the base 3D model).

Help please, the game loads normally, but when you start a mission through the editor with this plane crash when loading “planes” what to do? ::( (google translate)
ps, all solved the problem, as it turned out that the old engine mod 2.8.3 w is not compatible with this mod

I have down loaded this set of planes twice..
I have every thing you say that is needed .. Checked it more than once.
I get a CTD at 60%. This is part of the log file. As every plane in this set says it can't find the CLASS file..
