Selected historical Spitfire VB/VC Trops of the First NOVJ Squadron No.352 (y) RAF.
Tito's Spitfire Fighter Bombers.
Nationalmarkings in different variants occured.
Pre-December '44 upper-wing Roundel lacked intermediate white section,
which in turn seemed to be applied to post Dec '44 Arrivals.
Star shape on fuselage varied through time too, first it was a sleak variant,
later changed to a broader Star.
Unlike the 351 (y) Sqn. Hurricanes, 352 (y) Sqn. Spitfires didn't used yellow outlined stars insignia. Tail Fin marking varied by it's size of intermediate white and star application from
the sister unit.

One kite reportedly flew with an Aboukir Filter, the rest was Standard Vokes
equipped VB/VC Variants, either 2nd hand RAF or surplus stocks deliverd via Middle-East depots.
Most kites wore the then standard Temperate Landscheme consiting of greys.
Reportedly Desert Schemes were to be found here and then, others indicating
that some might have worn a weary dark-earth/dark green Temperate scheme are purely hypothethical.

Accompanying RAF Squadrons and the high command
saw the tendency of Titos Pilots
to disobey RAF's stringent Mission Behaviour critical.
RAF didn't wanted Kamikazes was the reply NOVJ faced,
if again paying a high toll for going down too deep.
Some Pilots even got dismissed from flying service for this.
NOVJ Pilots reportedly broke rules by attacking their targets
over and over, Cannons and MGs running dry each time.
A high percentage of personnel was lost in such straffing attempts,
as they were an easy target for any uparmoured column and decent AAA.

They were mostly used in the escort, tactical Recce or Fighter Bomber role.
They claimed some kills, not less than 10 I think. But these must have been
lucky occassions for them, due to their somewhat triggerhappiness.

2nd Squadron NOVJ 351 or former 352 Hawker Hurricanes you can find in my "Desert Air Force" Pack duely...
