Thanks. Still no luck :(
Could you please try to download the attached file, extract it to your UP3 game folder, run the game, spawn a Ki-84 (any model) and show what you see inside your cockpit?

Ah okay, an illumination thing.
As I never put my plane on flames yet, the only thing I saw was the "good" holes which you see on your opposite windscreen, too.
Well then, let's artificially light up some rice bags 8)
Thanks a lot for your help!

Already found the reason.
It's been a typo on the glass holes mat file causing the Z buffer to be treated wrong.
This sneaked in at some point in a jap cockpit mod and made it's way into many mods further on.
Interesting to see it never got discovered before.
Easy fix.
Just need to find all pits affected.

The problem with the damage mat and tga is that they come up haphazardly and in situations were only few people will notice

Yep, and the issue only becomes visible when illumination (fire, navlight, searchlight etc.) is involved.
Anyway, I could identify 20 aircraft with this issue.
That is: Aircraft which have been added since UP 3.2.
Any aircraft having been part of Ultrapack 3 RC4 may or may not have the issue, we'll tackle it when it becomes apparent.

*bump*

Current State of bug reports past Hotfix 16:

Fw-190A-2 Flaps detached: Fixed (And with it, all other 190s. Chaps, they all suffered from this, it's just that nobody ever noticed)
XF5U ejection seat: Fixed (And with it, a couple of others)
163 default skin: Not a bug but a feature (PTO + desert default skins = japanese, ETO = german)
Bf 109 canopy during bale out: Fixed (And with it, all 109 source codes got rewritten and streamlined)
Ki-84 canopy holes: Fixed (And with it, 18 other airplanes)
Ju-88C6 + screenshot props: Out of scope, no fix.
Ju-88C6 gunsight: Fixed

Other fixes:
Canopy bug (can't close canopy): Bug hunting code adjusted further
Logfile: log.lst is mandatory now (conf.ini settings are being overruled)
Guided Missiles: Target acquisition code reworked to lower the performance impact in case of large number of targets

Going to put Hotfix 17 together now.

Hotfix 17 for Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" Patch 2 has been released: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,67406.msg768404.html#msg768404

The hotfix contains all bugfixes as listed above.
In contrast to hotfix 1~16, starting with hotfix 17 we are providing hotfixes in SFS archive format, quite like the mod and patches are.
This makes the download larger, but in return the game is as "snappy" as it uses to be without the 3.000 discrete files the hotfix would contain otherwise.
