Thanks for the report Dimlee, I'll have a look at it later.

Regarding the Betty, here's a sample of the ordnance & turret fix process:

Hi mate!

I had a strange issue....

UP broke my vanilla installations....

I have tested it twice yesterday and still today....all with the same result....a not loading installation....no log simply it give up as the spalsh screen appear....

This is what I have done today....

1) start from a vanilla 4.12
2) installed BAT 4.0 (run ok the 3 version: stock modded and WAW)
3) installed BAT 4.1 (run ok the 6 version: stock modded and DOF TGA WAW JTW)
4) update to 4.2.2 hf 4 (run ok all the 6 versions)
5) installed skins 4.0 , missions pack 1 to 4 and DGen 1.4 plus patch 6 (run ok all the 6 versions)
6) update of the selector to 5.1.2 (run ok all the 6 versions)
7) installed UP 3.4 1st step 'vanilla' ( run ok of all the 'now' 7 versions)
8 ) installed UP 3.4 2nd step 'patch 2' and hotfix 17 and no more able to load the game....UP 3.4 is the only one that I can load and run....

I noticed that the patch change the selector to a different version (4.0.2.3 of 2021 july 09) and even if I at this point add the 5.1.2 selector the game still doesn't load....and the game give me a different number of overwriting files (one more then the previous selector update)

Also noticed that until vanilla UP the splash screen after the selector is the BAT one while after the UP patch it change to the UP splash screen....

Any help 'll be welcomed....

ATM I'm lost and I have lost a lot of time while testing the installing procedure....

EDIT

Installing UP 3.4 Vanilla again give me the game loading correctly (BAT splash screen and all 7 version loading) and after adding the patch 2 all the version except UP.3.4 patch 2 doesn't work again....

Did you try to install UP3.4 and BAT 4.2.2 Together? If this is the case is not going to be easy

Simple thing: UP3 and BAT use different base files.
In particular, UP3 uses a newer DT.dll compared to the one found in and used by BAT.
Say "thank you!" to Team Dildos for creating incompatible files with each and every patch - the new DT.dll found in UP3 doesn't provide what BAT expects.

Long story short: Keep Ultrapack in a separate folder, please.
No other way if you're not an IT wizard (read: It is technically possible to have it all in one folder, but only if you are really tech-savvy which, as experience taught us, nobody is).

I concur with Storebror here, and this is coming from someone that actually did that at one point (I think at it's most bloated it had several stock versions, UP 2.01, UP 3, VPMedia Pack, HSFX 7, and BAT)

The trouble with it is, even if you get it to all work, which is absolutely doable, there are still gonna be little texture and file issues here and there that, while not critical, are still distracting and it makes the whole thing not worth the trouble in the end. Add to this that if one thing goes wrong in trying to update the various parts of your little Tower of Babel in game form, the whole install is screwed sideways.

Just not worth the work, IFAIK.

Totally agree and coming from somebody that at a certain point was using and install with DB1.71(SCW, 1916, and clean), UP3RC4, HSFX7.03 and MODACT5.3.

A nightmare as you always need to remember which pilot profile is playing which campaign, Keep JSGME under control with crammed JSGMEmods folder,  reset qmb at each time with a common plane top of the list .... etc etc.

and all this just to save a little disk space for the common sfs and skins folder. Not really worth

For sharing skin folders and similar between installs I can recommend symbolic links: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,34906.0.html

From time to time, I see a bomb load which looks too "optimistic" or not confirmed in the sources available. For example, Yokosuka H5Y-1 - 4*500kg... ):(
Is it a bug for this thread? Or only the model's creator can change that?

I would have to check how much work is required.
Sometimes we can just change loadouts per declaration, sometimes we need to adjust hooks, sometimes there's more to it.
One part where you could definitely help with is providing sources of correct loadouts (lists) so we can see what's right and what not.
In general terms I mean.
In case of the Yokosuka Cherry it's quite easy as IRL it could just carry two 250kg bombs and that's it.
