Dunno if this is skin specific, but the Il-2M Late's rear gunner has a black helmet.

In "Stock" UP3 there's a weird "pilot1" texture that causes the black helmet to appear.
BK apparently has some texture mod in place which fixes this.

I took the pilot1.tga from BAT which results in this, hope it's okay for you guys:

BK you may want to check your "SFS_UP" folder for additional SFS files in there.
Per default you should find 40 files.

Okay, so apparently, the default pilot skin has a completely black helmet. And this also happens on the Early Il-2M.
