What's happening to my 4.09?
« on: October 14, 2015, 04:51:21 AM »

Hi Rebels!

Yesterday, after a failed attempt to install Win 10, my son did a thorough cleaning and resetting, mainly to get rid of the obsessive warning about "Failed install! Try again!" and stubborn setting in the Windows update foreground of Windows 10 installation call, that hampered to me sight of any Win 7 (my current OS) update. He was quite successful, and, yet last night, for first time playing IL-2 I noticed a failed engine startup on my Hurricane Mk. IIB, like I see in 4.12 with engine mod 2.7! That's not all! Right now, returning from a mission, on final I got HUD message "Landing Gear Damaged" and, looking outside, I saw this:

I checked that TD introduced this feature on stock game with v4.12!

Now I wonder: it's me, that screwed up something (about three years ago) during my installation, currently in use, of 4.09+UP2.01 (please don't laugh too much in this case!), or yesterday work "unlocked" something really new?

Yours astonished,
GB

Is there at least one pious soul that would be so kind to tell me if those features I mentioned as new for me are from ever included in 4.09+UP2.01 or sound new to him too?

Thanks,
GB

May be Epervier has a clue ...  ;)

Do you have the Gear Damage mod by Crazyflak ...?  :)

May be you should also post your log ...  ;)

Koiya ? Koikidi ?

My UP2 long since I disabled the mod Gear Damage!
It raises too many compatibility issues!
I prefer to add a few lines of code in the Class of an aircraft to have virtually the same thing!

No, I never installed the mod Gear Damage of Crazyflak! Nor I modified for this purpose a plane (I am simply unable to do!). See above my current list of modifications installed.

And what about the engine failing to start?

Les Mods que je ne connais pas :
- WEPabbreviationV2
- Fix Manifold Pressure MC-202

For Hurricane ... magnetos on reset?
But I do not know why as there is no autonomous Mod for this stuff!

The screen is a good MC.200 S7?
Version "stock" the mother-Class (MC_200xyz - 99EBA20643A2526E) has no management "gear damage". A parasite mod is not listed in your game?

... and what is this mod ?:
03__Cockpits_fix_mano_Hurricane_Pack_SAS
Concerne les cockpits uniquement ! ;)

Les Mods que je ne connais pas :
- WEPabbreviationV2
- Fix Manifold Pressure MC-202

... well then why not uninstall it to check if this is the source of your problems ...?  ;)

Problems?! No, for me they are improvements! :)

Anyhow, thanks to you and Epervier for all the help; at least I've understood that they look like new features unique of my 4.09, it was what I was asking for.

I'll keep you informed on this same thread of any further instance regarding this topic.

Cheers,
GB
