... don't you worry, fatty_finn, there are a few maps gurus here that will give you a hand if necessary ... ;)

My log says there are two bugs, but since I am no map guru myself (and the map works fine as is), I won't comment ...  :P

Code: [Select]

Space...
This is the first time I see spaces in names!
No space is allowed in the names of objects, Class ...
This may be the same for the textures ...

THX for the tip, Epervier, I renamed all files that had a space in their name, and also edited the load.ini accordingly, but to no avail, the same alarms are still there in the log ...  :(

Looks like it has to do with alpha layers, and 24 bits and 8 bits ...

Anyway, looks like the game creates corrected files ...  ???

Code: [Select]
[18:03:07] Created a 256x256 RenderTexture with BPP(8, 8, 8, 8)

May be a map guru has a clue ...?

What went on there in WWII?
I found a reference to a British airfield called "8 Bells" there in SW Egypt, but nothing about any combat.
I can imagine some early mix ups between Italian and British outposts, but not sure of any serious engagements.

PS.   Great map.

[18:03:06] WARNING: TGAFile_LoadTexture('maps/_tex/gbp/summer/green on redd1scr.BumpH')-Bump loading problem
It's logic.
These two files are "indexed color" when they should be in "grayscale 8 bits".
One can easily change by temporarily giving them the extension "tga" and then make the transformation and restore their extension "BumpH".

And in load.ini :
- 3 errors
     - change "\" to "/" ;)

Yep, the map needs bump files, too smooth.

Easy to do, maybe later... ;)

... many THX for this new "slim" version of your nice map ...!  :D

Just a request, if you've got some more spare time left (:P) ...

... could you please fix the air strips situated on the middle right side edge of the map, they currently are unusable because they are either too steep or/and bumpy ...?  :(

Another improvement would be to use desert trees instead of the green fur tree like ones ...  ;)
