Perhaps Gimp will paint no ugly aircraft.  ;D

CUP and Gimp are two different softwares. None of this affects the other software!  ;)

Repair or reinstall Gimp.

You need to check 2 things before applying Skins, Textures.

1. The model uses 1 Texture as a base, if it's a multiple Texture Model, it requires nasty fiddling.
2. Check the Default Skin has a Damage/Alpha Layer included, if not, you can't use Skins,
but Default one.

Use the skin0.tgb, rename to tga and take this as a base, check/apply Alpha/Damage Layer,
then replace the Default Skinpack according usual routine.
If it's a sole Texture Model, you can now add custom Skins.
