Klaus asked for translation of his last post:

It's a long time since you heard about the Ilmensee Map  :-|. I thought that on a winter map, you also need to change the buildings. I did that and edited the buildings. In total app. 500 objects have a winter skin now. This needed a lot of time. I am not completly finished as I want the map to be :-|. But the end is near. There will be a package for the Ilmensee Map, with summer, autumn and winter maps.
For map designers I will add a list with the corresponding summer/winter objects. I guess it easier in the buildings.txt with the switch to winter objects :-|. Any proposals for improvement are welcome.

Me too .

I like the way you have mixed the snow and ground textures.

But maybe a tad late here. It was about repainted houses. I assume Klaus' houses are perfect by now.

Agree, much better. But in December-February, 1941-42 all terrain from Black sea to Murmansk was under big white snow (0,7 -1m, temperature - 30 - 50  down zero by Celsius) almost on the whole territory of former CCCP (USSR) exept Tashkent - Fergana. All Azov sea & north part of Black sea was in ice. Geographers called that winter a Little Ice Age. So, all texture for winter 1941 must be totally white.
