anyway, at the moment this is the current value for flapshift

GC_Flaps_Shift -0.3

that should mean that it shortens the CG-CL distance

try +0.3

it should handle much nicer.

I've fixed the problem of flaps.

But I would like to take this opportunity to make other changes.
I read some books with some statements of the test pilots that the maximum speed at altitude is mach 2.4 with overheating of the air intakes. Other sources seem to confirm this.
In the game the i set prudently the maximum speed in ranges between mach 2.2 and 2.25. I have to change the code in Java afterburner giving more power over 10k meters, sending overheat the engine over mach 2.3.
Maybe It will take a while.

I've fixed the problem of flaps.

Through lift or shift?  :-|

 - as for top speed, I guess having it at "over 2.3" is correct enough. I mean, we do not even have proper jet engine codes so we cannot get that much closer.

Error, we have an engine code that works fine till 2015, i can set a top speed with an error of 5 khp

:| that you can set a top speed is one thing

the fact that it does not act properly is a second think.

For example - currently, engine overheating is an engine temperature of, say, above around 800 degrees. Althought that should be derived from oil temperature - 120 degrees, most likely (some could be overheating at 100) - as any other piston engine. Where exhaust gas temperature cannot be modeled properly - yet.

Just a little detail.

EDIT: Or so I have been told.

Anyways, how did you solve the flaps? :))

Reduced flaps lift and move a bit the CGFlaps

The most important thing about top speed and acceleration is that are the same of RL with small % of error.

Today i test the climb at 12000m of the F-4E with 50% fuel in 98 sec, as in RL, also in the procedure.

Nice :)

Also... mind doing the test FM with inverted GC_Flaps_Shift ? ;) Pretty please.

the best way for F-4 seem to be 0.0 for GCFlaps and CGgear

but the main problem was the lift

anyway is solved, and new version with realistic overheat and modified engines is very close

you could also try making the GCenter smaller by 0.2~0.3 (compared to current) and making the CG_Flaps_shift +0.2

No, the G center is more important for overall FM, i cannot move it for improve only landing.

I meant, the overall handling is a bit too stiff compared to what you see on the videos (Also, deploying flaps really does move the lift center backwards)
