Multiplayer aileron bug
« on: November 29, 2015, 01:34:04 PM »

Hi folks!
I'm running a vanilla 4.09m.
I experience some problems with the flight model in multiplayer (LAN). When I flight in multi, all planes (except for multi engine bomber) tend to heavy roll left or right. I don't think it's a propwash or engine torque problem, for three reasons:
1) The problem occurs even with jet planes.
2) It occurs at any speed or engine power.
3) The aileron is slightly up/down.

Trimming is almost useless.
In singleplayer it doesn't happen, with the same flight realism setting, joystick setting (dead zone, filtering) and planes.

How to solve?

I've never played in multiplayer.
I hope someone can help!

Could it be performance related? Sinking FPS when flying Mp and impact on controller? Do you really never have similar behaviour offline? If the controller e.g. has a minor defect  (like mine), performance may play a role.. :-| does not explain the lack of trim though. ;)
Hope someone can help.  :-[

My joystick isn't perfect, but in singleplayer there's no problems.
In multiplayer I lost 1-2 fps, i don't think it's a performances problem.

Never heard of anything similar.
The only thing I could think of at the moment would be if one of your controller axis (trim?) is connected to IL2 via DeviceLink protocol.
In that case, since DeviceLink is disabled while flying offline, that axis would not work online but it would offline.
But you should know whether you are using DeviceLink since it requires specific apps running on your PC and a matching conf.ini entry.

If you don't know it then you don't use it.
If you wanna know more, how about a Google Search?
