Probably not a carrier. Maybe complete HMS Nelson, or perhaps battleship Vittorio Venetto which I now have a lot of info for. But its a bit premature to be thinking so far ahead.

HMS Nelson class battleships really had an unusual shape, but I like it a lot ...  :P

Since she, and her sister ship Rodney, vaguely looked like Royal Navy tankers, that bore names terminating with "ol", they were soon nicknamed HMS Rodnol and HMS Nelsol ... 8)

That would be an interesting project. Fits in with my primary focus on Atlantic/Med subjects. I've not come across any good modelling drawings for Ranger though. That would be a prerequisite before considering embarking on a project.

Why do you have specific interest in Ranger?

Some old plans available here http://maritime.org/doc/plans/cv4.pdf but these would need some work to tidy up and compare with photos to get the WWII details correct. No good profile books on Ranger as far as I know.

Yes, i have specific interest for CV-4 :)
I think, it's most underrated US NAVY carrier, despite fact - CV-4 is one of only 3 carriers which fought through ALL war and survive.
At this moment we have all needed to create campaign about Ranger actions - Torch operation area and Norway maps, aircrafts.
Also, working with DT, i've added all CAG-4 squadrons - you can see it in game now)) So, only reason for me, why i'm not created campaign - is lack of CV-4.

In the short term CV-5 might make a reasonable placeholder for CV-4.
A bit larger but a lot of similar features.

Interesting problem has appeared.
Swordfish, Seafire and Barracuda all handle the flight deck ramp ok, but the Fulmar has its undercarriage ripped off. :(
Need to model in a smoother transition slope.   ----  [solved by smoothing - Fulmar now works ok]
You don't have these issues on a flat deck.

Anyone else have problems with the Barracuda rotating into the deck when the chocks are removed and aircraft is under AI control?
