thank you very much for your answer. I was afraid it was something wrong with my install, but it seems that the Nieuport-11's odd cockpit is there from the beginning. I've reviewed the original file made by Mission_bug in which he reworked all the Nieuport models, but it seems that the N-11 is not there.

but this file does not include a cockpit folder, so maybe this is the explanation for the lack of a modern looking cockpit in this model. The only thing I don't understand is the image posted by Alfie Noakes (reply #44) in the link from above, in which he shows what I suppose it would be the right cockpit for the model. I cannot find out where this cockpit comes from.

Well, until someone fixes this, I think that your solution is very satisfactory. I agree that Nieuport 10 can easily replace the Nieuport 11. I will made the appropriate changes in a copy of your campaign and try it to see if there are differences in the performance of the different planes. I think that the improvement in the visual appearance will be worth it.

And now I need to add a note of thanks, to Monty and SpongeBob, for the latest word on the state of the Nieuport 11. It is good to know that I'm not dealing with a corrupted file, and I agree with SpongeBob: the Nieuport 10 would do very nicely as a replacement in the campaigns.

Of course, I'm also looking forward to the Gothas as well as Part 13.

I have been patching a few campaigns this morning before heading off to work.  We have those brilliant new 3D figures, with shadow now, that also add so much more depth, detail and movement to the scenes.  Really looking forward to compiling DOF Part-13 and getting it out to you lads.  + a complete campaign patch, Part-3B, with everything up to now tweaked and re-tested (including Neiuports etc).  Been flying this morning and very pleased with my new install.

It will be in the next few days.  Unfortunately I have a busy weekend with family, friends and other assorted civilians!   ::(

However, a few clear days scheduled afterwards will afford me the time needed!  ;D

Yep; Ranwers, SAS~GJE52 and then skinned and assembled for the static.ini by MAX_TheHitman (no mean feat).  Thank you again MAX, everyone will be able to enjoy these on Dawn of Flight, World at War, and The Jet Age within the next day or so, as the uploads and links are finalised.
