WIP-Italia centrale 1:1

Hi guys,
I begin to work during spring 2013 at the project, but this is my first map and so I'm very not experienced in this field.

The idea was to help the Ufficio Storico Aeronautica Militare to reproducing the Orbetello seaplane station, in order to rebuilt the starting of Crociera aerea del Decennale Orbetello-Chicago-New York-Roma flown with SM55x during its 80 Anniversary. This is the result


I made the NO side of this map, but I populated only the Orbetello Seaplane station.

This spring I begin to work on the idea to build a 1:1 Italy, for Avelanche operation Seow, but I'm not able to make a 1:1 map 1 pixel = 50m using microdem. The coast border were horrible to see. So I thought why not trying to join 2 maps. I've done the NE side and it worked. So I made the SO and the SE side and this is the result:

Many time I came here to download maps or aircrafts, this Christmas I'll put the link to download what I've done till this days.

Many THX in advance, bigans, 1:1 scale maps are rather rare in IL2 ...  :P

Very nice map, surely.
Wish you good luck with its populating.
I can advice to learn autopopulating, its quite easy,
after learning Z_Management tool and Autopop tool here at SAS.
NB., I also joined two microdem 50 meter/pixel maps when now working on Yugoslavia map.

@Mick: Of course (I'm not also practice in this forum in adding screenshot)! Jet Era will call 1:1 maps
@Uzin: In order to help old PC owners, I'm thinking not to populate cities, but only texture cities, for the moment: airfields, harbours, roads and bridges.

add
It_cent(Bigans)                 It_cent(Bigans)/load.ini                         
to all.ini file under Mediterrenan region

You can use planning FMB dogfight mission using stationary test runway and homebase object.

Feel free to copy whatever you want, but it will take some time before release of the map, including all AF and tuning the textures.

EDIT:
Hi, bigans, your above link concerning _tex files does not contain most of the files required by yours load.ini file !  Or they are in wrong places !

Most textures are missing, hence a rather dull result that doesn't pay justice to your work, bigans ...  :(

So I built this map with a map builder like Kevinp wrote in his guide. In HSFX all textures work. In CUP>JTW (only) they also work. For the moment I don't have a solution. Give me some time to understand where is the matter. Tonight I'm tired. Ciao

Just open load.ini file of your map  in any text editor, there are  both paths and names of the necessary texture files. Put these files here, that is all.
Example:
LowLand2 = Italy_DF/land/summer/macchia_neu4.tga,2
path is red, filename of the texture - green.
