Dutch New Guinea map wont load

I just did a new fresh install of CUP on a virgin 4.12.2, installed the maps, WAW and JW and all seems to work fine except that the "Dutch New Guinea" map does not load. comes up with java runtime exception error. any help appreciated

Check for missing textures in log.lst. My experience with maps is usually a missing custom sky texture.

just did a quick test in all modules:
in every module this map loads/saves fine.

So wolfiz is right: we need the log.

btw, offtopic my logfile is huge! an enormous length of lines like "FM called 'FlightModels/GladiatorMkI.fmd' is being loaded from Alternative File: 'gui/game/buttons' "  and quite a few ships cant be found either:

I have just noticed that the Darwin map also wont load. are they in the same sfs file? could it have not been installed properly?

My Darwin map won't load as well. I will compare my log file to yours.

Being the creator of the Dutch New Guinea map I just checked this this morning.
With my CUP install the Dutch New Guinea map loads nicely and asks if you want to save a mission.

I then tried the Darwin map and it crashed the game. Could be a number of things missing objects or textures.

I'll pm Simon bout this  ;D

To me, after reading your logs, it's not that you downloaded a corrupted sfs, but that you installed the sfs to corrupted sectors on your HD.  Not serious corruption, but just a few bad sectors. I don't know your OS but I suggest a complete ScanDisk on your game drive before reinstalling any CUP files. Google scandisk and your OS if you need to. Then proceed from there.

When you see these kind of unusual errors with individual files being read from a "mounted" file like a .sfs, in an otherwise good install, it's best to troubleshoot at the base hardware level first, then move up to the software/file level if everything checks out ok.

Holy Smokes! That fixed the Dutch New Guinea map ! Thanks vonofterdingen  :)   But the Darwin map still refuses to load and if I try a second time it CTD :(

OK Dutch New Guinea map is good but I agree with the Darwin Map issue, just fixed that for the next SAS MME part-13, lucky for some!  We have a wonderful upgrade of WAW first.  A major cleanup and restructuring has everything running even smoother with masses more content.

Darwin is fixed and will be next.  This, quite old, map by Niel Lowe, has had a number of Tex and object updates and is missing a tiny piece.  It will all be present and correct asap.
