Hmmm, I get the same error with that link...I'll try checking out their forums directly.

Do you happen to have the Vol_ItalyAfricaGreece map or Cannon UK's beta BOB map?  I'm looking for those and can't find them...

Thanks!

I just downloaded your Formosa map, Agracier, and I get a corrupt file error on the small woods 4 texture. Maybe it needs a re-upload?

That may be possible. Right now I have limited internet connectivity and it is about all I can do to simply read and reply to e-mail. My connection speed is abysmally slow and frustrating ...

I´d perhaps try to use the woods entry from another working load.ini ...

One of the files in the Formosa download is corrupt.  Downloaded several times and WinRaR tells me each time that the CRS file {???} is corrupted.  What is that all about and can we get it fixed?

I tried to ignore it but the map will not load.

I just downloaded the file and all is well here. Unzip/unrars as it should.

Maybe you should try a different unzipper or perhaps download it again. I've sometimes had an unworkable rar/zip file that for no apparent reason works with a second download.

And just on an aside - this map really could do with a complete overhaul. There are far better maps to install ...

I will try a different unzipper.  I have tried three times with WinRAR.  I also have WinZip.

As for the map itself ... we fly historic missions of the US Navy and other Medium and Heavy Bomb Groups in the PTO, MTO and ETO.  Formosa was a target in 1944-45 and as such, no matter what overhaul is needed, this map is the ONLY one that covers that part of the Pacific.  We either use it or lose the missions, simple as that.  same with other under-represented areas such as most Germany targets, Rabaul, and many small island areas such as Yap, and Ulithi.  I have made my own Nauru and the Azores to fill some of the gaps but I am not as skilled as you are at the moment nor do I have all the time to do the larger maps.

By the way, it appears to be hanging up with the ag_Formosa/load/Redko.ini file.  I placed your _Tex file for it in the ag folder along with three others: New_Georgia, Cape_Gloucester, and Hankow.  They all work fine. for some reason it can not find the textures for Formosa.  Go figure that one.

Any other suggestions welcome sir.

How about hitting <shift>+<Tab> at the same time when the map will not load.

That brings up the error console. Somewhere near the bottom of the page there will be a line with something like:

ERROR .........

followed by a text that usually relates to the nature of the problem, like 'cannot find ...texture ... or something like that.

With that error message I will have a better idea what is messing up the loading.

Actually I gave you the last part of it, but here is the total:

World. land().LoadMap() error.java.lang.RuntimeException:Landscape 'ag_Formosa/load_Redko.ini' error4

Looking at the Internal error [SHF TAB] I am missing the NTL_Darwin_small_Wood4.tga in my texture file.  Not sure how that occurred but that seems to be the issue.  In the Formosa folder I have NTL_Darwin_small_Wood0.tga, ...1, ...2 and ...3 but no 4--completely missing.  That must be what is corrupted on the download.

Agracier,

My earlier problems may have been due to the fact that my texture compression was disabled. I'll try again now that I've enabled it.
