WAW works, but nothing else

Okey Dokey,

I have been away for a while, so I am getting back into this. HOLY CRAP things have changed ...

I could use some help, so thank you very much in advance.

I am running Win7, 4.12.2 with CUP only. I installed all the modules. The one thing I did not do per the step-by-step instructions (which I found after the fact ... of course) was I istalled in the order: DOF, TGA, WAW, JTA. Then I went back and re-installed TGA last, but it still does not solve my problem.

now for the problem ... WAW works just fine, as far as I can tell thus far.

All other modules (DOF, TGA, JTA) have the following problem: game freeze when starting QMB. Always, no exception. When exiting and closing IL2, i get the "IL-2 6Dof/TIR Enabled Executable for modded IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 is not responding" error.

So here is what I did:
-Patched to 4.12.2
-Mod Activator for 4.12.2
-AI Flyables for mod activator
-CUP Maps
-CUP DOF
-CUP TGA
-CUP WAW
-CUP JTA
-Reinstalled TGA in an attempt to fix problem
*Note: none of the JSGME options are enabled.

I can post my log file, but I need help with that too. I have never messed with the log file, so I don't even know what section to look at. Also, I don't even know if an error is being posted to the log file, because it is a freeze and not a crash ... so can someone help me with what in the log file to post? or what to even look for other than search for "error"???

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi... Could it be the 'last.quick' problem ? Sometimes switching from a module to another lets the game load with the last QMB config, meaning planes from an other module, and freeze. In this case, deleting the last.quick' file (Quicks/.last.quick) before loading the game should solve this problem.

well ... that was it. The other modules now load just fine.

I am glad it was such an easy fix. Usually I am not so lucky!!!  :P

oh man, i feel for guys who go a full re-install route, when the solution was simply to delete one tiny little 'quick' file.... :D
that's life, i guess....
