V1 Rockets are invisible

HSFX v7.03 server and client
On our server the V-1 rockets can not be seen by the client. They are causing damage when they hit the target area which is visible to the player but you do not ever see the rocket. You also see the launch rail on the ground even though the rocket never appears on it. We are having the same problem with Air launched V-1's being invisible too.

Must be some missing net code for client synchronization of the rockets.
All I can say is that there's a lot of areas in IL-2's core code that lacks proper net replication, and it's tedious to change it, albeit far from being impossible.
For instance on our SAS Gameserver, running Ultrapack 3, the V-1 works perfectly fine, you can even flip them online, see here: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,45722.0.html

Thanks Mike I had come to a similar conclusion. Unfortunately I wouldn't even know where to start looking for that problem, especially without having a working server version to compare to my "broken" version.

Is it an HSFX problem, an HSFX expert problem, or even quite possibly a stock server problem. I know I found a thread at the 1C forum from 2013 where someone was having a problem with them on a stock server. Of course I can't find that thread at 1C now that I want it...

I still haven't solved the problem but I do know it is not, for me anyway, just an HSFX problem. When I run a v4.13RC04 mission with V-1's on a v4.13RC04 dedicated/dogfight server I can't see them when I join the server either. Everything still works fine if I play the mission in Single player or Campaign mode.

I still need to test to see if the V-1's are visible to Players who join when I use a full build game server instead of the dedicated/dogfight server.

Nothing was solved but finding this old thread at the Internet Archive version of UBI Mission building forum literally two days ago definitely improved my mood regarding this broken feature.
It seems this has been an underlying problem even with the stock version of the dogfight server going all the way back to December of 2005.  :o

No clue why it was never addressed in any of the updates other than most people must not have used them in their online dogfight missions and the hue and cry for it to be fixed was just not there?

Since the V1 rockets are invisible to the clients you could easily assume that they just do not exist.

As mentioned in my 8-years-old ( :D ) reply, IL-2's netcode leaves a lot to be desired.
Many shortcomings have been fixed in Ultrapack, which focuses on online playing.
FWIW, I've never seen any issues with V-1s on our SAS server running UP3.4

Lol, I do tend to have a hard time letting things go in regards to this sim that I can not fix or get fixed. I don't think that is at all obvious do you?  ]confused2[  ]help[

I feel your pain Wheels.
Netcode seems to be the holy grail of IL-2s code.
I find myself scratching my head more often than not.
