Ship convoy
« on: January 13, 2016, 04:00:10 PM »

Please point me in the right direction. I'm not having any luck searching.... Is it possible to have an AI enemy flight attack a moving ship convoy? I have tested a number of times but only have success when they attack stationary ship. I'm sure the answer is here somewhere....just can't find it.

Edit
I think I have it figured out. Just comes down to timing of waypoints

Yes, a lot of trial and error is needed, especially to get AI Ju88s to dive bomb ships. You might want to have a  look at this campaign http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=107 I made many years ago. One mission in particular has a lot of He111s attacking a large convoy; about 40 ships iirc. Hope it helps, or if doesn't then hope it's fun to fly.

Forgot about that campaign. Going to actually have to fly it one of these times.

Yes, timing of way points is very important. When I do Stuka v ship, I set a NORMFLY wa ypoint, and the GATTACK waypoints very close together. The NORMFLY  is at 3000 + m, and the GATTACK is at 500m. Then you have it fly away to a DZ, carrier, or base.
