Hi Pete

Its all good this end.  The planelist is updated, will get that in next time, but I can't find anything else missing atm.

What we need to establish is what are you missing? - It is either Classfiles or 3Do.  You can easily establish which by selectively removing either group from your MB174 folder to see which generates the error.  If its classfiles.  I wouldn't be surprised lately but its easily fixed.  If its missing 3do then your SFS files from WAW Part-09 need to be checked again.

I have been pulling out SFS files from WAW_SFS but I just can't break the MB174 yet!

Simon

Hello Simon, the classes were removed from the aircraft folder and the plane would still show in the QMB, however, if the hier in each aircraft folder was deactivated then not.

I also tried disabling the cockpit folder seperately and that would not show so it looks like I have no 3do for the MB-174 in CUP. o_O

Take care.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

hello all,

is this the continued Nomad error:
Code: [Select]
[6:20:51 PM] java.lang.NoSuchMethodError
[6:20:51 PM] at com.maddox.il2.objects.air.CockpitPBN1_Bombardier$Interpolater.tick(CockpitPBN1_Bombardier.java:37)

Though, i am also seeing a ton of other java entries in my log running latest CUP.  I have post here detailing:
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,49964.msg545807.html#msg545807

probably not the right spot as its in the Manual thread, but I had a question there on verification of the SFS sets via modified date.

Hey WindWpn, what confuses me is, it ''appears'' in the selection on QMB...but on FMB even local Multiplayer, it is just replaced with its PBY Counterpart when selected over it. In fact it's just blank on the Multiplayer aircraft selection. It was a thorough test but one that raises questions than answers....

Yea, i believe the continued PBN error may be if selected for pilot flight.  If AI, it loads ok.

Same here with the PBN (but PBY is OK, without bombardier position).

About the MB-174 : it works fine for me.

One additionally QQ on CUP, what would be the LOE on updating all stationary/chief references to use the generic equivalents as compared to the unique mod reference?  For example change:

Code: [Select]
Transport1            ships.ShipPack$Transport1                  1
ColdWarSubmarine      ships.ShipFlak$Sub_Coldwar         1
Cutter              ships.CZOldCarpenter$Cutter                1
Fairplay_IV           ships.CZOldCarpenter$Fairplay_IV      1

to

Code: [Select]
Transport1            ships.Ship$Transport1                  1
ColdWarSubmarine      ships.Ship$Sub_Coldwar         1
Cutter              ships.Ship$Cutter                1
Fairplay_IV           ships.Ship$Fairplay_IV      1

Goal here would be backward compatibility with older campaigns and/or genericizing CUP for other options such as DCG?  I believe HSFX did some of this when built, at least relative to the shippack set?  Perhaps some sort of aliasing could be used to genericize the front facing inis, yet have back end ones feed the unique references (if too much to edit the java classes as well?)

Missing classfiles for PBN Nomad. UnZIP/UnRAR Straight to your main Il2 directory and allow overwrite.  This INCLUDES the previous PBN FIX + a few more.  So you only need this one, whether or not you did the previous one.

MB-174
Pete, you need to check that you updated SFS files from Part-09 correctly.  In any case the MB174 3do could easily be included again in the next update but you want to make sure you are not missing anything.

Part-08
WAW47.SFS - 92.1Mb
WAW48.SFS - 107 Mb

Part-09
WAW47.SFS - 125 Mb
WAW48.SFS - 110 Mb

The total size of the complete folder WAW_SFS - to Part-18 - is 12.1Gb containing 69 files: WAW01.SFS through to WAW69.SFS.

Thanks for your persistance mate.  We have achieved a HUGE unified install here, even if I initially missed a few minor details in the final packaging.

All of these small fixes will be incorporated into Part-19, nice and tidy...  8) - What gets fixed stays fixed.

Indeed, with this PBN fix, can now fly the bird!
-----------------------
As for the total folder size for SFS_WAW, mine comes in at:
Size:              12,961,724,430 bytes
Size on Disk:    12,961,865,728 bytes

69 Files
-----------------------
does that look correct/accurate?

Hello Wind

Yes you have it all.  The exact file lists reported vary with operating systems.  I have Windows-7 and get this:

Size: 12.1 GB (13,051,865,201 bytes)
Size on Disc: 12.1 GB (13,052,006,400 bytes)

69 Files

That's just a difference in the way the O/S reports it I'm sure, because there are no subtle variations with SFS file sizes.  If the wrong SFS file is in there you would notice a much larger filesize difference, so this is fine.

Good to see you again mate.  As my mentor, one of the true founders of the C.U.P. project...  8)

Thanks for your persistance mate.

No problem buddy, I was persistent in myself in scrapping my entire CUP IL2 to see if my install had a fault in my actions. Talk about a thorough search!  ;D
