Hello.  After adding WAW Enginemod then adding WAWsounds andd Effect...etc, i am getting a warning "..already added and it may have an adverse effect....", do i choose Yes or No?

I'm guessing that you are activating these options through JGSME, in which case it is safe to answer "yes" to overwrite.

Of course.  JSGME is a simply copy utility.  It moves stuff from one place to another, very quickly, and creates a backup.  It usefully warns you that the option you are copying over is going to overwrite the folder its headed for.  When you say 'OK' it goes ahead and copies the new option to the right place in your mod folder.

If you load another option to the same place, perfectly reasonable thing to do, JSGME warns you again that you are going to overwrite the previous option.  Saying OK will continue the action and the the previous option will now be 'greyed out'.  This means that you cannot touch it, for removal etc, until you have dealt with the other dependencies.  This ensures that the order is always preserved.

A copy over option ALWAYS overwrites what is already there - its an addon option.  Pay attention to the messages and you can copy over, or activate, any number of tweaks direct to the mod folder.

You can learn more about the JSGME Options here:

One thing I find about the JSGME mods is their ability to make the sim a teeny big more enhanced, especially the little FX mod and JC's effects, the gun effects and flames blew me away (Literally) and they are dynamic and a real realism enhancer for screenies.

Hello Simon, finally finished going through each of the aircraft in the current list in Pt-18 and here are a few issues found along the way.

These were very basic tests just to see if the aircraft showed and put me in the cockpit. ;)

B-24D caused a CTD:

Mission_bug, well I'm not Simon but here is what I found:

1)  B-24D caused a CTD:  I see you were using the "SandsofTime" QMBPro mission, "bluescramble00" mission.  I used the same mission and did not have any problems.

2)  Yakolev Yak-15 appears but the main wheels are upside down on top of the wings:  I did not have this problem.

3)  Mitsubishi Ki-46-II Kai otsu produces a Blue screen:  I assume you mean the Ki-46-III Kai otsu.  I had the same problem.  Since, testing in QMBPro is not the best place, I created a test mission in FMB and I did get the same result.

4)  Various Dragonflys cause a CTD:  I did not have this problem.

This obviously does not fix your problem but at least 3 of them are probably an install problem.  I'm not sure about the Ki-46-III blue sky problem.  It almost looks like the error you get when the plane you are trying to fly is not designated as the "Player" aircraft but I checked this in my FMB test mission and it was set correctly.

Maybe someone else can help with this issue...

solution for the Ki-46: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,3564.msg35763.html#msg35763
install this and you will be good to go...that bird seems to miss some cockpit files;

B-24D: might try the classfile that comes with JSGME mod for B-24D; my Libs work without problems;

Dragonflies: the ones I tried worked on my install although I think I was missing some loadout options;
if you really want to have them in the game, install them  manually; I tried that and had more loadout options on some of the ´39 models;
but as they are rather irrelevant as of now (no campaigns, no missions) I remmed them out in my modules for now...

Already fixed in WAW Part-19 - uploading later today.  The sheer amount of content in WAW ocassionally disturbs earlier addons and previous 3do had to moved up the order.  Part-19 is small and designed to accomodate all fixes do far and stabilise WAW.   8)

The Yak-15 is suffering 412 gear bug - It has been broken ny an old classfile introduced when trying to fix or convert some other old mod to 412.  I still have to find it, but its there, a classfile and not a 3do problem.  Feel free to look.  When I find it I will let you all know which classfile to remove, unless someone finds it faster than I can...

I also wish we had more campaign makers and skinners.  C.U.P. was designed for FMB users and yet they really are a tiny, almost elite, group.  Happily; I see that C.U.P. has recently attracted more of the stalwarts of the Il2 community.  Some of the mission sets due to be released later (probably next month) will certainly surprise and astonish lot of people.

Wow, I couldn't understand why some might have this problem but I did not:

Then I realized I started my flight in the air so I extended my landing gear, and they opened above the wings!  :P  I guess I will need that fix also!

No worries Dennis - We know its a classfile introduced with Part-18 and was not spotted until now.  We will find it and fix it.  Nobody's perfect and C.U.P. is BIG.  The very design of the project makes such fixes possible rather than just having an impossible mess to sort out.  However, there are a lot of classfiles to sort through.

I blame myself; lately delegating a little too much and involving too many people at a critical stage.  Bottom line, the buck stops here:  I will fix this and upload a perfect Part-19...
