well, to balance this, my TB-3s are not working with FAB loadouts...

At work now, so I do not have IL-2 in front of me. But I remember there is an option in JSGME not to activate if you want the normal loadout for the TB-3 (something with torpedoes, if I remember correctly...).

That's right Gaston - one or the other is the choice

...also your CUP is hardly 'standard' Phil...

I promise you this: - I will offer a FULL #WAW folder Part-19 with everything working as advertised.  NOTHING will be missed.  I have already fixed the Yak and armed the Dragonflys and all other parts are fine.

We shall checklist each section and answer every question.  There are still relatively few niggles for such a large install but the #WAW I offer up next will be my personal install - All setup and ready to go.

I would ask that people try my setup, take the new #WAW folder, allied with the JSGME Restore points, and all will be running like a well oiled machine.  I already have everything working here.  The entire point of the CUP project has been - how to communicate that and upload the parts so that everyone else can also have it all.

We have done pretty well so far.  Nobody is perfect, we are all human.  Almost as often as I have pointed out mistakes I have also made them myself.  This time be ready to read the checklist, take my new #WAW and all we have calm skies from there.  8)

There will be one small new SFS file, for extra 3do, but the whole download comes in at less than 300Mb when compressed.

********************

The immediate answer for TB-3 FAB loadouts is to look for and delete classfile 66A19C7CD5FFC5E6.  You can put this back with JSGME - #WAW_Config01 TORP LOAD and have all the lovely new Torps and Mines by DreamK.  These work well alongside most items with no conflict.  However, classfile 66A19C7CD5FFC5E6 screws the TB-3 FAB loadouts. - That's why we can switch it in and out.  Another copy of classfile 66A19C7CD5FFC5E6 should not be present.  Delete it and all will work.

Hehe well, I use a stock WAW for checking of course, even if my modules are not that standard any more :D
I also have remmed out each instance of that respective classfile, but still the FABs do not work...

although in this regard, I might have a stupid question...if I fire up different modules with different classfile content, is it possible that loaded classfiles remain in the memory and even if I have remmed out one specific classfile, if it was in before in another module, does it still do its stuff in a different module?

because I was fiddling around with stock WAW and with two modded modules, stock with this classfile, the two modded ones without and still FAB was not working;
it was working before IIRC BEFORE I fired up stock WAW with that classfile in...

need to investigate today...

Hello guys, thank you all very much for testing the aircraft I am having issues with and reporting back, greatly appreciated. 8)

Thankfully on this occasion it seems not all the issues are unique to me, I will update with Pt 19 when Simon uploads and check again to see what might still remain in need of attention.  ;)

If any issues remain I will try each of the fixes mentioned in the thread by each of you and see what happens.

At the moment a medical condition prevents me flying the sim but I am trying to make sure my CUP is fully functioning in the hope I will be able
at some time to fully explore the possibilities it gives us all.

I was quite surprised just how little was actually wrong on this test when you think just how much is in WAW, testament to the hard work the team has put in, there is hope for my install yet. :D

Take care guys.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

how right you are Pete :)
all the best for you and I hope you will be able to enjoy CUP in its full glory soon..

hehe while we are at it..there is still some rough edges like the lower gunsight on the J1N1 not working properly and the gunsight on the TBD having the antenna in the middle of it...all easily fixable :)

update on my issue: the TB-3 17 works with FAB but the 34 and 34SPB still are no joy;
funny thing is, I have removed every instance of the said classfile from my module but on the 34s, the Mines show up while the FABs do not work;
for the 17, it is the other way round and this one works as it should; without classfile the FABs work, with the classfile the torps work....
strange...
...and I tried it on stock WAW pt18b also; same effect; taking out the said classfile makes the FABs useable on the 17 model TB-3 while the 34-models still dont work and get a mission loading:null error;

UPDATE: SOLUTION FOUND! Your solution solved only 50% of the issue Simon as it fixed the FABs only for the model 17;
if you also want to get the FAB loadouts on the model 34, you will also need to take out this classfile - 9F44ED2C4EFD8682 - this one is responsible for the model 34s
I just copied both files into a folder, placed it before the other classfiles in the hierarchy and can rem them out and in to my liking, so both worlds work and I am a happy camper :)

btx, Yak-15 works normally for me, do not ask me why...

That's brilliant Phil, thank you - Special award for classfile sorting.  It is VERY DIFFICULT hunting for a needle in a haystack like this and your hard work really is appreciated by everyone.

I also have everything else fixed by now.  Whether it showed up busted or not, the Yak-15 is definitely OK now, as are all the seaplanes, PBNs etc, and everything else too.  The new #WAW folder in Part-19 impliments changes and incorporates all fixes since Part-18 - Including Griffon_301's classfile fix and many others.

C.U.P. is solid and reliable.  As people understand; the sheer amount of content is bound to kick up the odd issue.  eMeL likens it to laying a giant carpet - "we push one piece flat and another pops up elsewhere!" - At last, I can assure you, we have bloody well flattened everything this time and conducted the longest and most thorough tests so far on every aircraft and weapon set.  I will even include our checklist in the download, so everyone can read it and see the issues solved.  8)

We have gone through all the bombers too, tested bombsights and loadouts, there is a report on all the Liberators attached as well.

Because of the thorough testing above all else its a pretty small download, 200Mb, and we call it 'The Checklist'.

Notes from making 'The Checklist' will also update the CUP Manual to version V7.0.  That will be out at the same time.

Part-19 does add some unique new aircraft though...

#WAW Part-19 will be available by the weekend.  It will feature one new SFS (WAW70.SFS) and the exact same #WAW folder we have tested to destruction in Hangar-19.

Its a thing of beauty my friends!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Goodo Taxman!  Meanwhile you can grab the latest WAW Soundset right here:

This is going to be pretty essential listening for WAW...

C.U.P. is solid and reliable.

C.U.P. is solid and reliable.
Yes, this is the point
I must admit I was very sceptical and also disappointed by the early CUP, but especially since WAW18, things are much better :
stable, robust, good performances

Thank you for this

Thanks Jeanba, that means a lot - It was a steep hill to start climbing a year ago.  We all liked TD-412 but we wanted our mods back!
