That sounds wonderful.
It´s a great idea to use IL2-1946+Mods aircraft to show your guests and museum visitors a
first "hands-on" experience in flying such a classic aircraft.
I believe you will have much success and many happy museum visitors! - It´s fun for the young and old
and the entire family.
But first we would like to have some important information.
Without good information and research an artist can only guess what they are doing, and nothing gets done well.
Many photos can be found on the internet, but its not enough information needed.
- What does the actual aircraft looks like?
Since you have access to this aircraft -The artists need at least 4 daylight color photos showing the
different angles of it. No need for professional photos, but at least decent ones and sharp photos.
- What are the
Pilots names written in
white-lettering on the aircraft fuselage?
We need their names and proper locations.
- Does it have any original markings or painted emblems which must be painted on the aircraft?
I am sure if you post and describe what I have just suggested , you will
get a few Skinner-Artists painting a very nice selection of skins for you.
You can then decide which one you would like to use in your museum exhibition,
or you can use all the skins created.
By the way, Congratulations to you on having such a great job. Many people just dream of such a job!
Good luck and have fun!
I will leave our forum members with a few details...
