Well, I dont know where else to go with this. I love the Ohka in 1946, its one of my favorite planes to use since I've installed a mod that lets me use the unflyables. But its so useless outside of suicide missions. So my question is if anyone can make a simple mod (that while inaccurate to history could add something to the game) that adds a fighter variation of it to the game. Just adding machine guns, a sight (which shouldnt be hard considering it uses the BI-1 cockpit) and a landing skid/gear. I would really love if someone could make this mod. I feel it would add more functionality to an underrated but cool craft.

yeah, lol - it's essentially a rocket, and it was purpose-built for 'suicide' missions, hence why it's no good at anything else.
this thing isn't really a plane at all, it's a rocket with minimal control surfaces, so that the pilot could point it at a target and hope for the best...
so - way more than adding some guns and a sight, it would need a complete FM overhaul.
you never know, some modder might wake up in a crazy mood one day and decide to try this, but i wouldn't hold my breath, if i was you....

well, 'best' in the traditional Kamikaze sense, lol - much like the modern suicide bomber who dreams of 40 virgins waiting for him in hte afterlife...lol

recommended rocket planes? well, none of the WW2 ones would be my first choice, as they were mainly all death-traps, lol - but the Russian BI-1/BI-6, or the German Me-163 would be better examples...as well as being historically correct

And then there is the Kawanishi Baika Japanese variant of the Fi103 and as that was never built perhaps a gun armed version of that could be made as a what if plane

I have flown and painted skins for the Soviet BI-1 and BI-6 and it is (or was) the fastest airplane in the IL2-1946 game.
Super powerful machine! Very fast !
I got a nose-bleed and almost passed out !  LMAO AAAHAHAHAHA!
but if you are not careful, you will crash or explode. The rocket motor is very fragile.

The Me-163 "Komet" is a better option, but it can also explode  It also has a very nervous rocket engine
and super dangerous chemical-fuels.
I guess all rocket planes are suicidal machines. LOL

I have not flown the Fieseler Fi 103R (manned V-1 bomb).
I´m still waiting for a better 3d-model of it.
