Thanks Andy for that, I enjoyed the Draken build and there will be another one soon. :)

As for the Hurricane she's already in one piece awaiting the paintwork. A perfect fitting model if I'm honest and it's a shame Airfix withdrew it from their production due to inaccuracies in it's shape. It's sad really as it does qualify for at least a starter set kit. 8)

Camo is applied and I have to say I think I did a reasonable job here. ^-^

I have to say Andy I'm very happy with the scheme now it's dried off with a nice even finish. :)

After a day of rest and thoughts I was back to the BBMF Hurricane Mk.IIC LF363.

Here I decided to go back to the spray varnishes and seeing as I'm using acrylic paint they work, however I nearly ruined this aircraft by applying too much and it was a very thick substance which cracked and bubbled the paint on the right wingtip and the propeller/spinner, however seeing as acrylic is much easier to strip I disassembled the prop nose and sanded it clean as with the right wingtip... overall though I saved it by experience and she's now all decalled up with realistic stencilling ready for the final 2 varnish sprays and wash.

I'd like to note as this aircraft is from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight there won't be any gun stains but there will be exhaust burn on the cowling. :)

Morning friends and members of SAS,

Yesterday seeing as I hadn't built one since 2009 I decided to purchase a Ju-88A-4 kit by Revell. This kit is a re-boxing of the Matchbox kit so I shouldn't have any issues building it, the one I built 12 years ago was God awful airfix tool from the 1950's and it was a real nightmare! :(

Now, as everyone knows Matchbox was the last kit manufacturer to release kits with Swastikas before the P.C mob told them to stop doing it. Airfix, Revell and many others aside from Hasegawa, Tamiya and a rare few others still release models with the Hakenkreuz in their decal selections. As I'm a chap about authenticity and realism with the Ju-88 build I decided to buy some Xtradecal Swastikas as to be honest I don't give a shit about ''Political correctness'' as granted most of the population takes offence to such a marking.  :-|

The Kent Battle of Britain Museum where I volunteer at, and like myself like to depict history in full. Granted the Swastika was a definitive showing of Nazism and Hitler but to me it represents detailed history in terms of aircraft colour schemes, however little to most knowledge the Hakenkreuz was actually a peace symbol of Buddhism... but radicalised by the Nazi's to depict evil and the reputation of the marking is now sealed for all the WRONG reasons.  :-X

So when my Ju-88 is completed she'll have complete markings! I'm actually looking forward to building this ''Schnell bomber''. 8)

Well gents and friends on SAS,

Sadly in the build up of the Hurricane Mk.IIc the acrylic sprays have blown their last chance... yet again because of them they f***ed up my model... the gloss coat went on no problem but the matte spray frosted therefore melting the decals and ruining the paintwork... so that's another model for the skip. Shame really as the YB-W scheme is VERY hard to come by... still our Ricky (Ghost129er) is willing to take her on so she may be saved in the future.

This was the result...

Aw, hump! I hate it when stuff like that happens.  :(

Did you put 'Klear' on first? Still, looking forward to seeing what you can do with the old Matchbox - how are the moulds holding up?

Well Andy the story goes like this,

Because I was using acrylic paints as I did with the Spitfire I used the acrylic sprays' that were gloss and matte. 1 coat of gloss, decals, coat of gloss on top, add the wash then a matte spray... I mean this didn't happen with the Spit so why this one? Still as I said mate the sprays have blown their last chance and are in the bin... I'll stick with Klear from now on as that enhances the details as well as permanently fixes the decals... I must add that the spray on this one actually made a few go silver... so it was going to end badly either way.

As I said I'll stick with the Klear varnish like I did with the Draken and look how well that turned out! 8)

Morning all friends and members of SAS,

In anticipation of my 2 new Hurricane builds my aftermarket set arrived this morning... all I can say is holy s***!  o_O There's so many in this it's ridiculously brilliant! The decals are Cartograf which means they're perfect for details and print.

The two aircraft which I intent to replicate are Night Reaper and ZY-S which were both seen on the BBMF Hurricane Mk.IIC with the 4 cannons. With Andy H's recommendation I'll be sticking with Klear rather than those f***ing awful spray cans... Watch this space! 8)

One for the books I think,

Since I plan to make some German aircraft types now here is where I'll start with the Revell Bf-109G-10, this kit has a mixed review due to it's age and flash issues... and I have to admit this model has PLENTY of that... however I shall persevere and being the first Bf-109 I've done since 2018 it's nice to welcome back the type. This for me like the 109G-6 and G-14 were the best of the bunch, yes the K-4 had advantages but by that time she was too heavy to be a dogfighter...

Hi all,

An update on my Revell Bf-109G-10. After an absence of posting the fuselage, wings and tail went on well and then I moved onto the camo, on the box it was a bit misleading as it depicts brown and green whereas on the instructions it says she's a two tone green camo which is more realistic.

After listening to James and Ricky's advice I went for the two tone green and I have to say she worked out better than I thought! Soon she'll be Kleared after touch ups are complete then the markings shall be applied! So here she is. 8)
