Nieuport 17 = "Flyboys" Film has anyone painted them?
« on: January 27, 2016, 08:08:46 AM »

I am looking at my skin folder for the WW1 airplane NIEUPORT 17 and I noticed that
there are no "Flyboys" film skins.
This film...

Has anyone ever done skins for these Nieuport-17 with the painted airplanes like in the movie?

If no one has done them, I will make some.
Because
I already did a skin-package featuring the Fokker DR.1 (Black-Falcon and the Red Fokkers) from
that film and I need the allied airplane versions to do some cool dogfight with them  ;D

The only ones that used to exist were I-153 hacks....but they're no good now as the real Nieuport exists!

Max was talking about the film not the real Escadrille Lafyette.

He did the German Fokker skins from the movie, and he wanted to know if any of the movie Nieuport skins were available. Obviously not in that sense as all of the skins shown are official Escadrille colours.

Thanks friends for that valuable information.
Specially the History of the Lafayette Esquadrille http://albindenis.free.fr/Site_escadrille/escadrille124Lafayette.htm

I already have all of the Nieuport-17 skins done by Stalker and they are very useful to me.
Stalker is a fine aviation artist and has painted many historical Nieuport aircraft versions, which include
the French, Russian and many other countries

but these Nieuport airplanes from the movie are totally fictional.
They never existed - But they look like FUN to fly.

I will paint some Nieuport-17 "FLYBOYS" for us all to enjoy  :)
