Just wanted to express my appreciation for my favorite il-2 mod to date. It is wonderful to be able to put to use Berthas, Caesars, and Doras at my own leisure. All without a shortage of petrol!  ;)

Hi Crazyflak, you were right: it was a mess indeed....
Done everything from scratch starting from the basic 1946 v4.09m, added UP 2.01 and the followed the suggested procedure.
At the end added all my mods and it worked of course perfectly, Bf109 BCD mod as well.
Hard lesson but it took me a 2 hours and now I know a lot more about IL-2!
Thks for helping and patience too!
Have a great day, Gianluca

Hi very good, I would like you to help me solve a problem I have with this pack of 109's ..
When I open the car cuts me off the simulator, it's probably the way to solve the problem of lack of cab .. but I wonder if anyone has the solution to this problem?

thanks

Hi,

I'm having the dreaded 60% CTD with this MOD? I have all the other elements req'd and use UP2.01 which already has the Bf109B2 and there is an existing entry for this plane in my air.ini (although the entries differ in the weapons.ru? The UP version states Enginemounted MG17 and the new pack states NoseMG17) - So I added the new entries B1,C1,D1 & D1L to the air.ini.

When I try to open the game with new mod in place my error log states that 'air.Bf_109B1 was not found' ?? I have the very latest buttons, if I disable the .ini entries and the folder the game loads ok!!

I notice my Bf109 BCD folder contains NO classfiles - is this correct?

Any ideas guys? I dont usually have a 60% prob so this has stumped me ?

AFAIR you dont have to replace the air ini entry for the B2, as it should be identical, but to be safe you can delete the old entry and replace with new one. Also then delete the old planes_ru and weapons_ru entries if there are any. The B2 in UP was the first one Mosca and I did, and it is totally replaced by the new one.

The download should contain many classfiles. I think 8, plus a readme file, and then a 3do folder. If you dont have that, you either have a corrupted download, or you have unzipped the download with something other than 7zip.

Thanks CirX just had a quick look after I posted this and realised i'd zipped the first pack over wrong before adding the FMB fix - It looked like the folder was the FMB fix only with obviously no classfiles just the plane folders. The real folder was under MODS/MODS as i'd zipped over without realising the zip had a double zip - if you jknow what I mean?? ;D

I just wanted to express my appreciation for these early model mods.  I really enjoy them because it adds more realistic possibilities for mission building.

However, I might have a bug or it might just be me.  I have the low-rez cockpits and when I'm inside the cockpit and firing the guns and then hit Pause and go to the outside cockpit view, the cockpit is invisible.  When the guns do not fire then everything is normal again.
Just wanted to report this and see if it's a known bug or if it's just something only happening to me.

It's not a big deal to me since I don't fly the 109 that often.  I just won't shoot the guns and pause the game at the same time to take a screenshot.
Thanks again for these 109s!

It is not a bug realy. It is an artifact of the AllHolesSoved part of the mod. For it to work, it "switches off" the outside of the cockpit whie you are in it, and switches it back on the moment you go to outside view. If you pause the game while inside however, it wont have had time to switch on the outside body. To fix, just quickly repause, the game requires one frame to do the switch.

Inversely, if you are in outside view, and you pause and switch to inside view, you will see the outside model overlay inside the canopy.

I see.  That's very interesting and I'm glad it's a known issue but not a serious one in my opinion.  Thank you for the good explanation.

Hi.  I have read through this several times but still have a CTD just as it gets to 100%.

I have IL2 with UP2.1 and the McWolf decal shine mod.

This is the first additional plane mod I have tried to add to the above.  My file structure is as follows:

MODS/STD/com/maddox/il2/objects/air.ini (modified with the new lines)
MODS/STD/gui/game/Buttons (latest version)
MODS/Bf109BCD_SAS_v1.1/3do(and files)
MODS/Combined Bf-109 Cockpits Pack V4/3do(and files)

Where have I messed UP?  :)

Der Wüstenfuchs  109 Cockpit Pack v4 or V4 lowrez version
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,1947.0.html
or
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,4505.0.html

You put this in as well Nine lives?  Although the crash at just near 100% is rather unusual.

"Just one little additional advice, set your conf.ini to log the loading of the game

[HotKey Console]
LOG=1
LOGTIME=1
LOGFILE=log.lst (you can choose the name that you like)
LOGKEEP=0 (with option =1 will keep all the logs and the file will quickly become very heavy)

the loading of the game will be logged on your log.lst file (or any other you have chosen). In case of a 60% (and in many cases of 70%) crash you can trace the loading error (flight model or other) and save a lot of time in investigating the cause. "

From the Tech help section as well.
