I would like to ask if you create something like World at War Pt-21?

I've had a problem with the MapMods portion of this WAW folder mod. Many but not all of them did not "Load" properly in QM , SM ,and/or Campaign playof the sim.Could this been merely a corrupt download of the #20 patch? :-|

You know the music, give us a log or give us the steps to recreate the problem. Which map? Which campaign?

I first noticed the very old Berlin Map was a Load ini. no go.Then I noticed all the newer SFS map files weren't there in the game folder(I cannot figure out where they went ... so I updated them all.I then deleted the MapMods folder fromWAW folder & replaced it with a copy from another install. Then everything seemed to work.Today I re-read install instructions & noticed the de-activate the SFSMaps folder which I had done once before but somehow I had downloaded it back in at some stage.Minutes ago I did as instructed( again)...perhaps this was part of the problem. What I have noticed when something isn't working its usually my fault or a corrupt download.I just wondered what this one probably was..

I don't understand here...wich SFS_Maps file must be deactivated ? The folder appears to be needed to have the maps from MME...

So, do the maps now work in your game ?

Answer #1:
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL OF C.U.P:
Delete ...Il2/SFS_MAPS/CUPSOUNDS.sfs.
Obselete file actually needs to go completely.
Applicable to all C.U.P. Modules.
No negative effects from deleting this file.
Answer #2:
Yes ,at least they seem to be....of course I haven't tried all of them.
I am tempted to do a fresh download of Cup#20 & do a test to see if it works better than the old one .I would keep this one that is working or seems to be ,just in case.

You may be right about a later version of Part 20. I've just had a look at the SFS_MAPS folder in my own installation. The contents start with Maps01.sfs and end with VCL16.sfs. I don't need to delete a CUPSOUND.sfs file because there isn't one there; to date I've not had any trouble loading any WAW map.  ;)

Okay, thanks. I guess it's only about the old CUPSOUNDS.sfs file that was in this folder, and not the whole SFS_Maps folder. I asked because I had a similar problem a few weeks ago with some maps, and it was obviously related to a JTW update (Pt.09B) that replaced VCL15.sfs and VCL16.sfs files with much lighter ones, removing in the process all the new maps since MME-13, including the freshly reworked Berlin map.

(you can see here)

That's not quite the case mate, you just did them the wrong way around.  The VLC.SFS files in the last #JTW update were explained, and described as, place-holders.  The main complete files, as you correctly deuced, were supplied with the latest SASMME Update.  It is always adviseable to do SASMME MAP Updates last when you change things, or again if you miss a step.

The next SASMME MAP Update should address the order and it will be clearly flagged as the latest update to do.

Taking your point hough, I will try to avoid MAP injections during the upgrades of the other Modules.  That upload just got a bit complicated I guess!  ;D
