WooooooW para cuando estara disponible este mapa? me encantaria volar por el norte de españa

This is still a map in progress. It´s not finished yet and still needs a lot of work done. I think that I will probably finish a map of Catalonia first though. Once that is finished I will be able to use elements from Catalonia to use in the Galicia map.

si necesitas ayuda dimelo, que los =gRiJ= igual podemos hecharos una mano, yo por lo menos estaria dispuesto a colaborar en lo que pueda, me apetece darme una vuelta desde leon a coruña, y lo ideal  seria portar el mapa de españa a tamaño real entero  ( como el de corea ) aunque me imagino que petaria el simulador

if you need help tell me, that we as =gRiJ= I will take a hand, I at least would be willing to cooperate in any way possible, I want to take a trip from leon a coruña, and ideally carry the Spain map size entirely real (such as chorea) though I imagine that the simulator petaria

That would be most welcome, especially if you could help with populating the map with towns, cities, villages, harbors and so on ...

Ideally this is done via the map maker version of Il-2, but there are other ways as well.

On the map making itself, the map is more or less finished, though it does need a new set of textures.

Since I´m traveling right now and won´t be home till early September, I´ll send a cop of the map as it now stands when I get home.

As you know I'm a great fan of your work, and EVERY map you do is doing this game richer! So thank you for a wonderful effort. You should be in some IL-2 hall of fame for doing all this for us all.

As I understand it Kapteenis is population the Palestine map. That map will be a GREAT addition to the game, for the 1948 and 1956 wars!

And your upcoming Spanish maps of course looks VERY interesting! Both Catalonia and not least Galicia will allow us to recreate a number of important SCW battles. (BTW: I have started to work on a SCW campaign using your very nice Baleares map - thanks for that one!)

Cape Cloucester, and Narvik, and Scotland (great idea!) etc - WONDERFUL! 

Do you have anyone to help you populating the Narvik map?

I'm back in business since the beautifull summer is almost ower. I will populate the Palestine map. It will come with at least 2 versions 1948 and 1956. I must use some artistic freedom, because it is hard to find specific info about all the villages, farms and towns. There were not many airfields at 1948. I need to gather more info about 1956 situation...

I passed Narvik on to the Czech Squadron for some further populating, and got a first version back before the summer vacation. It´s only partially done but will look very very good indeed when finished.

But the CS already has a lot on its plate, Norway-Scotland and a yet undisclosed surprise they wish to finish first ... so if anyone feels like making some villages or hamlets in the Scandinavian style, it would be greatly appreciated. Very much so.

Villages or hamlets or small harbors can even be made in .mis form on any standard map, preferably an ocean map. Afterwards I can transfer them to Narvik. I´ll also see about getting an updated link to Narvik up.

Yes it can. But of course, if towns or villages need to be made to fit into an existing texture, then it won´t work very well.

Making towns or villages or whatever in.mis format works if the configurations of objects are meant to be placed more or less randomly on the map, without regard to the terrain textures.

Riptide made all the wonderful templates of villages for Hankow and Iraq in that manner and it works very well all things considered.

Regarding Galicia and Narvik: a simple but important question: these are WIP's, I understand that, but will the airfields stay in the exact same place in the final version? If so I could even start doing some campaign work on them!

If not I will of course wait with mission-building until the final, populated version hits the world.
