What about this operation of French army about liberation south of France? Campaigns, maps, smth yet?

Actually, as far as I know, there is no map of the South of France.

But if one is made, this is the area it would need to cover :




A triangle between Nice, Montpellier and Grenoble and which includes the islands near Hyères in the south part.

If someone were to make this  map , please please please consider inclusion of the surrounding area as well as the historical centre. This allows the possibility of important missions occurring
to and from the historical battle area , as well as directly over it. It allows for peripheral airfields to have importance , and road and rail routes as well.

For Operation Dragoon , consider an area defined by the corners (roughly) Vichy (NW) , Girona (SW) , Roma (SE) , Bolzano (NE).
Very important to these operations were the USAAF bases on Corsica , so I would recommend consideration of the inclusion of the southern tip of Corsica as defining the southern border of the map.

I do realize the extra scaling requires more work , but I also recognize that the more versatility the map offers to campaign and mission designers , the greater use it will have by the community.

Great and unrepresented area to add to the realm of "Mapped for IL2" !
