Your turret's cockpit seems to be to far in the rear. Try to move it a little forward and this will settle the bug with the muzzle position. Also keep in mind that the angles of rotation of the turret must be identical in the java file of the plane and of the cockpit.
Hello Dreamk, in the gunner position I set up originally everything more or less lined up, however, the gun could be rotated all around and Gio wanted it to move at 45 degrees or so as was authentic. I tried adding that to the java as best I could but I left the position of the gunner as it was because I was not sure which he would prefer once he tested it, he has since released it leaving both options available rather than deciding on one or the other so for the moment it remains as it is although if there is need to further update I will certainly take a look at it again.
Turrets have always be a problem for me to get right and usually I have to use a hidden turret ring from another aircraft in conjunction with what Gio sets up to get close to making it usable for the player, I live in hope that one day I will fully understand the interaction between the java and the orientation of those moving parts, it drives me mad each time I try to set up a turret as they always seem to behave in a different way.
