Italian "Tipo Bomba" Droptanks (100, 120, 150 Liters) RELEASED
« on: February 18, 2016, 01:37:20 PM »

Starting from Re.2002's 240L droptank, I'm working on 100, 120 and 150 L variant (missing in Il-2) employed with C.202/205, G.55 and Re.2005.
Due to my poor skills with 3d modding, I've decided to simply resize the stock 240L DT, nothing more, nothing less. The problem is the lack of informations about these types of droptank, so my work is higly subjective (or "empiric" if you prefer).

Here some images of early work:
My old AerMacchi C.202AS/CB with 120L DT

My upcoming G.55A mod with a modified "Tipo bomba" droptank (without fins, historical)

C.202 of Regia Aeronautica/Italian Co-belligerant Air Force with DT.

C.202/5 "Folgeltro" with DT

Stay tuned!

Bye!

Thank you for the feedback Max!

Update: added 150 L tanks to the list. All droptanks will be issued in two version: with and without fins.
The work is almost finished, I've planned to release it soon (with the updates to my old C.202AS/CB mod)

Another preview: my Folgeltro "testbed" with new 100 L droptanks.

Bye!

My fault in first post...  :-[ The droptanks are missing, not the Re.2005.  ;D

i found it, walter - seems it doesn't have a thread in the aircraft section, but here is a link in the WIP slot request thread: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,41378.msg470077.html#msg470077

wait, i'm talking through my bum here, there seems to be a thread in the aircraft section after all - https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,41799.msg470084.html#msg470084

i think it's the same plane...  :)
