I was working on a carrier mission and the USS Saratoga 1943/1945 and 1944 won't load. I started the mission and all the planes went into water, no carrier spawned. The Lexington 42 and the stock IL2 Lexington class carriers work fine. Logfile:

Can't seem to find where the ships are in the install so I couldn't really do anything in their folders.

1. Have you installed / enabled Full color and HD texture MOD ?  Does it work well ?

2. When 1 is Yes, what CPU does your PC have ?

I do not, to save frame rates (until I'm able to custom build a PC for gaming) but I don't think thats the issue since all the other mod carriers and ships work no problem. It's just those particular Saratogas.

I've noticed when building a mission in the object viewer the ships do not show up there either. Possible corrupt file somewhere?

Not only inside of C.U.P. , original single MOD of USS Saratoga 43/45 and 44 .... Plowshare's USN Fleet Carriers pack has not had the file "skin1o.tga" in its Saratoga folders as your error log says.

But normally IL-2 1946 automatically read more big skin1o.tgb as skin1o.tga , missing skin1o.tga may not cause such error problem.
In my game of SASModAct5.30 of 4.12.2m , USN Fleet Carriers pack USS Saratoga 43/45 shows up in the mission without any errors.

it's odd, though - that log also shows a missing '_default_.mat' file.
in a CUP install, those files will probably be inside an sfs file, so you'd have to use sfs extractor to see what's going on inside those folders.
however, if no other CUP users report the same problem, it might be due to a corrupted sfs file in your install?
alternatively, download the USN Fleet Carriers mod independently, and just install the 3do folder, without the classes, and see what happens?

If it's any use, I tested all of the USN Fleet Carriers in this thread (reply #8):

and none of the 3 Saratoga CV's have a problem showing up.

Update: I tried the fleet carriers mod but that didn't work either.

Luckily I remembered I have a backup copy of CUP for situations like this, so I just used that since other things were going wrong (cockpits not showing up in QMB) so I think some things just got corrupted for whatever reason, but things are all good now
