nice, i guess, although i've seen recent pics of planes that i'd much rather see in Il-2 than a chair.
anyway, if it's what a modder wants to make, who am i to get in the way... :D

I'll take it on. Can we have it using a helicopter class/base?  8)

Speaking of balloons...
these s*ckers were being sent over the border in 1950's from the west... would be nice to see them...

That balloon picture might imply that this was some kind of "spy" balloon or it would have contained other nasty things, but as a matter of fact, this was a campaign of "Radio Free Europe" to bring leaflets to the east european people, read more here and here.

I'm not joking around with this, gentlemen, I think we can definitely pull this one off. We have the free roaming mod, all we need is a pistol/Rifle and we're in business.

As a matter of fact, the balloon itself was pretty nasty.. It was highly dangerous to airtraffic, it was an often target of fighter regiments.

As I know nothing about how it works... Please bear with me as I throw an idea on the table.

In regards to weapons(pistol or rifle) in a balloon (or aircraft)

How about a second "cockpit" in the same position as the pilot. The second could be armed and the pilot unarmed. To draw or arm the weapon, you might simply switch to the gunners "cockpit" via the usual press of a key. Once there you can see and fire your weapon, with a large range of motion, theoretically a full sphere.

But I am unsure how involved or possible such a setup might be. Just an idea.
