This mod brings you the first german jet to be flown over british territory:
The Arado 234B-1 reconnaissance aircraft.

This plane has a lot in common with the bomber version "Ar 234B-2" which is part of Stock IL-2, but it has
some distinctive differences, to name a few:
- No Semi-Recessed bomb bay under the fuselage
- No bomb racks under the engines
- No defensive guns in the tail
- No bombsight, no bomb selector controls in the cockpit
- Overall lighter, thus faster and more nimble

This mod features some enhanced functionality to resemble the engine handling a little more historically correct.
All of the functionality described below has been taken directly from:
Werkschrift 2234 B-2/Fl "Ar 234 B-2 Bedienungsvorschrift / Fl (mit Rüstanweisung) (Stand Juli 1944)"

Explanation of enhanced engine controls:

1.) Throttle lock lever:
Left to the two throttle levers the Arado 234 features a throttle lock lever which is to be used to avoid
unintended throttle movement. This has been implemented because of the early german jet engines sensitivity to
throttle changes. The throttle lock lever will automatically engage (move forward) when there has been no throttle
change during the past 5 seconds. It will automatically disengage once you move a throttle. This has been done to
make it easier to use and since IL-2 doesn't have a control suitable for this task.

2.) Tank selector switches:
Behind the trottle quadrant there are two levers, these are the tank selectors.
There's one selector lever for each engine.
Aft position is "shut off", center position is aft tank, forward position is front tank.
Operations is as follows:

Shut off: Self explanatory. Shuts off the engine. Will be engaged automatically for engines that are off / dead.

Normal operation: Left engine uses front tank, right engine uses aft tank.

Tank damaged: If there's an undamaged tank left, both engines will use that. If a tank is on fire,
              it will be avoided.

Single engine operation: The engine still operating will toggle between both tanks (if they're both available,
see tank damaged above) every 30 seconds.

3.) Engine on fire:
Early german engines were prone to catch fire, BUT they were NOT prone to explode like IL-2 simulates it.
Instead the compressor stall, flameout and broken compressor blade failures caused unburned fuel to pour through
the engine until it reached the hot exhaust pipe, where it would eventually ignite. Under this condition a pilot
would shut off the engine (this is done automatically in this mod after ~5 seconds) and since there's nothing
flammable left inside the engine but the poured fuel, a few seconds later the fire would burn out automatically
(happens here after another ~5 seconds after engine shut off). Eventually some smouldering from molten isolation
or hydraulics would remain, this is simulated by light smoke here.
