Probably not the OP's problem, but posting for posterity. If you have the jet age mod installed, IL2 4.13 will crash due to a missing method exception for wing folding. Uninstalling the mod solves this.

RW:

Did you by chance have WAW segments enabled and tried to fly another segment like the Jet Age, not sure if this might result in incompability, I do not fly CUP.

Flyingfish...sounds like a rather frustrating solution, what about flying 4.12.2 and ModAct 5.3 instead, this is the solution/ModPack/ Game version supported by admins and modders, 4.13 will never reach the same status.

Yeah, I should at some point. I have a ton of mods installed in 4.13 and I'm pretty happy with it right now, the thing with downgrading to 4.12 is that I'm lazy. To do that I have to downgrade to 4.09, then upgrade each patch until 4.12. And if I'm going to do that, I should probably install CUP since there aren't many individual mods I don't have working in 4.13 already. And I have done that before, on my old laptop, though I could never get it to load all the way without crashing (probably something I did caused this, not blaming the CUP developers). Anyway, I might get around to trying it again, but for now I don't have the energy.
