Black water
« on: May 04, 2016, 07:12:09 PM »

I have loaded the WAW, TGA and JRW modules but when testing missions I noticed that the ocean, ponds and rivers are all black.  What is causing the water map ping failure?

Yes that was the first thing I installed. I'll double check the confi. file although I'm sure it's OK.  Does the Dynamic Waves mod have any adverse effect?

Hello BB,

Once you are in the game, make sure the landscape detail option is NOT set to Perfect...Excellent setting or less should get rid of the black water.  Hope this helps.

You should set it to 'perfect' ingame and make sure that HardwareShaders=1 is in the conf.ini [OpenGL] section...IL-2 1946 needs a dedicated graphics card, 'perfect mode/opengl' wont work with integraded graphics.

Ensure these lines are all set to 1 in your conf.ini:

TexFlags.TexEnvCombine4NV=1
TexFlags.TexEnvCombineDot3=1
TexFlags.DepthClampNV=1
TexFlags.SeparateSpecular=1
TexFlags.TextureShaderNV=1
