FINAL UPGRADE of SKINS for better wheels (rubber and rims)
.... Version 2 download = Now Has More Skins !

Some of these skins are from the original game (which were used on
the original aircraft models) but now have all been re-painted with more details and
to look better than the old ones. So ALL your default original aircraft will look much better too.


How to use...

First YOU need to have installed into your mod-game
the following mod-packages  ...

Fix engines cowlings and prop´s (by PA_Jeronimo)

If you already have these upgrades in your game ...
Find in your game the 2 folders in which you have these upgrades to the wheels - AND - new cowlings and Props +3D.
There are 2 folders.
Many people use different named folders in their game, but only you know where they are inside your personal game.


Then place inside those 2-folders my folder named "Textures" with new re-painted skins with more details.
That is all.

These are new skins with much better details for all wheels and rims and other stuff.
They have been tested and looked at up close on ALL airplanes and they look even better now.
More realistic and more details.

--- You can place this "Textures" folder with my skins in BOTH of the 2 folders
created by PA-Jeronimo. They will not damage your game - just make it look better.

They have been tested in my game and they work just great.
Works also for and on other mod-packs which use these skin names.
Which means - its an upgrade to ALL YOUR airplanes new visuals for the better!
No matter what airplane (USA/UK/RUSSIA/JAPAN/Germany/etc. etc) they will look
really great.

If you wish to save the old skins
just place a "-" (Minus sign) in front of the original Textures folder
which is inside these mods
BEFORE placing my folder "Textures" inside those mods.

Just do as posted before - Place the Textures folder inside this P-47 upgrade-Mod-pack
in the mod section where you also see a "Textures" folder and
and overwrite the old skin files for these newer skins with more details.
I am also using these skins with those 17  P-47-fighters.

At the moment I have just finished extracting from all the sfs files , all the known wheels-skins being used
by default in this game, and I have discovered 5 more skins that need a little attention to details.
So I will be repainting them too.  Default skins for wheels, gears, parts, engines, the whole thing.

Even tho some aircraft do not use PA_Jeronimos more better wheels (but they all should) , at least they can
also look a little bit better using the default skins with more details.
I have no idea why the recent TD-Patches never re-painted and fixed these wheels to look a little bit better on the original
game airplanes !? It is just a simple skin texture, but it is also a tremendous visual experience for the game user. To look
at an airplane and not see all black wheels on them.

One mod-pack that comes to my mind, that uses these old default wheels-skins is the Mega-Package done by Claymore´s FW-190 series.

So those cool FW-190s will have an extra update to their good looks.

Stefan-SG has also made another HUGE pack collection of Focke-Wolf 190s, which contains 30 new airplanes compatible
with patch 4.12 and ModAct 5.12.

But if you place my textures folder into your game, in the same folder as PA_Jeronimos better wheels mod,
you
will notice that ALL of Stefan´s new FW-190s have already these new detailed textures on their wheels,
because he is using a default wheel skin which I have already re-painted and is inside this folder. 
I have already tried his mod-pack and its very cool.

Like you, I am very interested in visual improvements to our beloved sim, that was designed, let's not forget it, way back in the ancient times (2000 and even before ...!) 


I have one question though, for this game's gurus ...

Since several tga files are 4 Mb (1024x1024), does the game load, for ex Cobertes_Rodes1.tga, once and only once, whatever the number of planes in a mission that use part of it, or does the game need to load Cobertes1 as many times as any plane in the mission, uses part of it ...? 

If the answer is N°2, then may be those 4Mb files should be downsized to 512x512 (... only 769 ko ...!) for ex ...?
