Hello again. Assuming I can get the game up and running I also had some other generic questions:

1) I remember back in the day using JGSME to activate specific mods. Do I need to do that for all the WAW mods? Or any others still? Or are they automatically activated now? I didn't see any reading on that on the site so I don't want to go into this blind.

2) What exactly does WAW do to the game? I was trying to find some documentation to see exactly what changes are made in the downloads so I can get up to speed. I'm a massive Pacific Theatre fan and generally stick to that side of the war and I noticed (without activating anything, see #1) that I still only have the stock missions that come with the 1946 game. Is that right or should there be campaigns or more options for flight models, etc? Everything seems stock to me.

3) I never used Lowerengines DCG enough to know what I am doing. I have everything downloaded and ready to go. I just want to make sure I don't screw up using it and was looking for some documentation on it but his site is down. Anyone have a link to a guide on how to properly use it?

4) I am so thrilled that this game has gone through so many updates and I want desperately to get it working and up to speed. Sitting here staring at my new LED monitor I just bought and I can't even fly on the darn thing!

Looking forward to your feedback and feels damn good to be back!

As far as #1, there are several new options in JSGME you can enable. Right now I'm only using the mission pro combo (so I can see the complete map list in full mission builder) and the soundset #2. You will definitely want to enable one of the soundsets because the flyby sounds and in-cockpit sounds are much better than the stock ones.

On #2 there is a detailed manual you can download, but I'm on my phone and don't have the link. It should be stickied in the step by step instruction post though.

I don't think it adds any new campaigns, you'll want to go to mission4today and download some CUP-compatible missions and campaigns. But if you look in the object viewer on the main menu, you'll find tons of new planes that you didn't have in your stock game.

Thanks for the reply. I noticed I didn't install modcat correctly as well as one other item. Downloading everything again and not deleting this time. Hoping to get it running this evening after the in laws leave.
