Hello pilots!
Do you know why I started rework of Singapore map? Because I really love campaign Singapore fighters by Miker8
http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=1298

But now, when I did new shapes for rivers, see and shores, some things from mis files is failed. For example: ships on shores, cars in water and so one. So, I suggest:
Have we got some handsome FMB maker, who can edit this campaign for RRR version map? If yes, I will send him WIP map and he will be able to fly on this RRR WIP map and do on Singapore fighters campaign fo RRR map. There will be these editing:
1. Delete all houses in campaign. Every important houses are in map.
2. Move ships to river
3. Move cars from water to land
4. Delete all harbors
5. Delete palms in water and airfields areas

If yomebody want to do it, I´m going to send him WIP map. But he can´t share it to next pilots!!!! I´m going to kill him >:(, if he will not keep his word.

I had to do the same thing with your Crimean map, for my Crimean Pawns campaign.  Stuff wasn't where it was supposed to be on the new map.

I'm waiting for this map to be finished soon too.  It would be nice to have the larger map though.

Tex, the original Singapore map as planned by 1C went further north, up to Kuantan, and to the south included part of the Riouw archipelago; these islands were Dutch of course. I should still have an image of that map's map_C somewhere; I'll dig it up and post it if I can find it.
Thanks to the efforts of 1C and the modders we now have the most important aeroplanes that were involved over Malaya and Singapore: Ki.21, Ki.27, Ki.43, Ki.46, Ki.51, G3M, various Blenheims, Hudson, Martin 166, Buffalo, PBY-5, Vildebeest, Hurricane IIB and field mod (IIB with 8 instead of 12 .303s, effectively a IIA). The only important ones missing are the Dutch Brewster, and the British PR and field mod Buffalos.

Mr. GerritJ9, I´ve rework this file and there will be not every rivers, because many of them are
1. hidden under woods (in reality).
2. so little and sturmovik engine can create only bigger rivers (or middle size rivers...)

Please everybody, be patient! I think I need only one month for publishing this large map!

One month.  Well, at least he's honest! haha!

I agree about not showing all rivers.  I've been doing that since I made the Puerto Rico map.  I usually just show the major ones.

GerritJ9, thanks for posting the map_c image.  I would still like for it to include more land further north for the RAF attacks vs J bases and troops and vice versa, although, the more land mass is better than what we have now.  I'm not trying to make a big deal out of it.  I just prefer larger maps.  Cyberolas' new map will satisfy me and make me forget about the larger map!  I've never made a campaign for Malaya but it looks tempting now.

Hi everybody!

I´m near to publishing this large map. So and I´m before one important question:
What is different between Singapore1 and Singapore2?
There was only short battle and I think there weren´t so big changes in towns, airfields or something similar.
Dont you know why do we have two Singapores?

only difference is in actors.static, the rest of the files (map_c.tga, ed_m01.tga, etc) are identical

the dgen campaigns use the load2.ini only (strange)

these are the files you can adjust in the Dgen folder:

Singapore43Red.mis
SingaporeRed.mis
SingaporeBlue.mis
Singapore43Blue.mis
Singapore2Red.mis
Singapore2Blue.mis

Edit: I've compared the two maps and the only new thing on Singapore2 map is this airbase, the rest of the airfields are at the same location.
