The bombs to use on the Dutch Do-24K are the "VMNo2" (Vliegtuigbom Marine No2) in the Dutch bomb pack:
50kg_VMNo2
100kg_VMNo2
200kg_VMNo2
300kg_VMNo2

BTW the bombsight of these planes was the Goetz type R - a copy of which is no other than the new working automatic bombsight of the Pe8 introduced in 4.13.

Thank you very much for the additional information Dreamk, really appreciated, I will put that to use when I next update the java . 8)

The bomb aimers position will I am sorry to say be a more simple approach along the lines of what I used in the WWI bombers, anything
from 4.13 will be beyond my abilities as I have not yet ventured into that update as far as modding goes so would not have a clue as to
how to make it backwards compatible although it would be nice to have the Pe8 sight in this aircraft. .

Gees Pete your 3d skills are really very good  :D ;)

You are giving me more credit than I deserve there Kirby, my 3D contribution was to flip the normals in Mike's model so that the skin could
be seen in the cockpit and hack to pieces the TB-3 body, most of the work has involved hier editing and removal of parts from the Ju-52 cockpit, thank you all the same for the compliments. ;)

This aircraft will be particularily at home on those maps you make, I am sure the skinners will create some beautifull art to go with the model and its eventual surroundings, hopefully the Australian aircraft will be done also.

Nice

Glad you like it. :)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Very nice Mike, I will take a look at another slot and rename the existing one to give each type their own. ;)

Here is what the cockpit now looks like:

The columns have been lengthened and the pedals replaced by those from a A-20 as they look and behave more like the ones
on the real Dornier.  The Cockpit floor and the well for moving between front and rear is adapted from the TB-3 and is intended as
placeholder, hopefully me or Mike can build something more appropriate but right now it has allowed me to align everything.

I do not have a cockpit diagram to explain what the various leavers are in the real aircraft so for now the existing Ju controls
have been move to either side and a second pillar for the starboard ones introduced.

The bomb load has now been altered as suggested by Dreamk:

Work has also begun on the other crew positions:

Wide view:

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Slowly, but surely, this airplane is coming together with lots of nice features and details!
I really like it. The new unarmed version also looks great, Zflyer48!

On top of my list for sexy seaplanes is the famous PBY "Black Cat" of the Pacific PTO,
and this airplane Do-24 !  8)   ;D

Hello guys, just a quick update for you. ;)

The armed version has now been renamed specifically as Do_24K, and is seen here departing what was at one time
the Nationalist seaplane base on Malorca during the Spanish Civil war:

Not sure if German aircraft ever operated in the area but this aircraft type was supplied to Spain and was in used in
the Baleares until they were finally retired.

The centre turret is now operable and uses the java from the G4M to give it a cannon armament which I believe was
actually a 20 mm Hispano-Suiza HS.404 cannon but we are using the Japanese weapon entry because I cannot find
anything else at the moment, we do need to change the gun to something more appropriate and there is another test
turret we have to test from the betty, just need time to have a look at it:

The rear turret uses a Mg 15 entry as does the forward position but again we need a more suitable weapon to fit into
the gunners cockpit:

The unarmed version now has a slot of its own and is named Do_24N_1 which was I believe the version used by the
Luftwaffe Air Sea Rescue squadrons although it would later also be used in Spain in the same role and as a civil aircraft.

Here we see it again departing from the Beleares, Menorca this time, where I understand these types were to be seen
regularly by holiday makers during the Fifties and Sixties:

This version should look particularly good in the SAR and civil colours which I am sure will come soon:

Unfortunately I do not think our cockpit will ever be quite as spectacular as the one Max posted but it is amazing
what a great skin artist can do so you never know. ;)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D
