It is very dificult to find correct blueprints for this Dornier-24 on the internet and
when looking into my book collection I did not find any.

However in the http://www.dornier24.com/ you may find some, but in very small size.

I was able to download original WW2 German manual books in PDF from the web and they show
some parts of the aircraft but no large format blueprints. If you need them I can send them to you.

Can't wait to fly this plane.

Well, you have to  ;) But it will be worth the wait!

So, if anyone wants to help out, then help out.
Show us what you can do.

I really hate seeing people criticize others while they just sit around.

But no, dear Max I do not think anyone wants to criticize or annoy Zflyer with useless requests or specious .. The work that has done so far is really outstanding and are sincerely grateful to him! They were years that I hoped to see in the Il2 the Do24, since I was using it in CFS2 ... is definitely a long-awaited and desired work, so I took the liberty in all humility to suggest an improvement that would make it really unbeatable .. If is too complicated at this stage of evolution, for heaven's sake, leave it as it is now and I will be equally grateful and happy!

I take no offence. I am my own worse critic. But, I know my limitions. I have tried to make the nice curve tail. In one word- "Fugly".
So, we continue on.

Hello guys, the evolution continues. ;)

Mike was a little bothered about the user turrets as they were essentially a adaption of a twin gun turret, so I tinkered:

Basically I hacked off the glass and frame of the B25/G4M turret and substituted it with the Dorniers own turrets, looks better
I think because they are actually from the model.

For now they pick up the colour of the external skin, this might continue to be the case but I can leave the earlier one in the
folder deactivated so users can choose the option they prefer.

Thank you very much to all who have posted photographs and links to manuals, they are of considerable help for anyone
interested in this aircraft, especially for ideas for skins and further detail work, be it on the 3D model or for one of those
plastic kits that are lurking in the attic. 8)

Take care.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Here is something from me for today... skin test number 09 - Testing out the lettering and more details.
That's why the letter "K" (screen 2) is reversed on the right flank?  ;)   :D
But very nice skin ! ;)

Great work by all involved. And it is indeed a beauty. Never doubt it. Take a few deep breaths, relax. I, fot on, am ready to be patient.

There are now 3 separate aircraft + plus 2 extra Do_24N_1

Do_24K:  Dutch aircraft own slot, has a bombardier and three gunner stations, carries various bomb loads.  Default skin used for aircraft and turrets is Dutch.

Do_24N_1:  Unarmed version based on the first German aircraft intended for rescue work, subsequent aircraft were armed but this represents any unarmed or civil types used by various nations.  You can set three default skins: Dutch, German and Multi1 your proffered skin will show if you select the three available, already set up but you can replace with ones of your choice.

Do_24T: This represents the Luftwaffe version intended for SAR and recon, only armament is the three turrets, there is no bomb aimer cockpit or bombs available as was the case for the actual aircraft.  Default skin used for aircraft and turrets is German.

Some default skins for all versions....
