Won't get past IL2FB Selector

logfile.txt in my main directory, not sure how to get one that contains errors and such... I've looked around and tried to find one that contains errors but I guess I'm being dumb about it.

I've followed all the instructions and have a clean install, Steam version, I'm sure I screwed up somewhere.

I start the game with IL2FB selector, selecting WaW since that and the MME are the only two CUP items I have installed and once I select start game, the tiny splash screen pops up on my desktop for a few seconds then goes away, no game start or anything. If I start the stock game, works no problem.

Not sure what I did wrong, and if someone can help me get an actual log file that shows the problem I'd appreciate that cause I have no clue.

presuming you downloaded the manual for CUP you will find clear instructions in there for creating a log file, failing that do a quick search for 'create log file' in the forum here. Without the log its never going to be anything other than guesswork

In the conf.ini set this line to:
LOG=1

Because you've just installed it, it's probably going to be one of two things:
One of the archives was corrupted.
Or more likely, you missed installing one of the parts, or installed a part incorrectly. Take special note of the "restore points", which just means either renaming or deleting the module folder for the module you are updating before you copy and paste the files into your IL-2 directory. (In your case the #WAW folder.)

You can see if there's anything obvious shown in your log file but if I were you I'd just try deleting your #WAW folder and then follow the steps to install WAW from the beginning (over writing all files).

I'm pretty sure this is related to me screwing up an install but I did do the renaming and such for every restore point, I probably just hiccuped somewhere. I'm gonna go ahead and try a completely fresh reinstall and follow the manual this time.

Anyways I already deleted got rid of IL2 for a fresh reinstall, about to start installing everything again.

Only thing I noticed that was unusual was in the logfile.txt which I don't have anymore, there were abunch of things like 3do/blah blah aircraft or whatever and then it had reloaded right after.. and there was a good amount of stuff related to that.

Sadly, I'm also having this issue. I click on the .exe, the splash screen pops up for a second, and then closes. The problems are obvious in the logfile, but I don't know how to fix them... :-[

*facepalm* No...I did not. I have installed it now, but I only get the options for "Stock Game", "Classic Mod Game", "SAS Modact", etc, Which one am I supposed to choose? (Before installing Modact I had "jetwar", "golden era", etc showing up)?

Apologies, but you perchance know which of the downloads it would be in? I tried using the one included in MME06 and it didn't work?

As you can probably tell I'm grasping for straws at this point...This will probably be very off/a big no no, but could I place the folders like #DOF, #WAW, #JTW and #TGA into the #SAS folder?
