Second set, JG-71 Richtofen, is in the works now.

It will include 6 aircraft from the 1960s including:

JA+101
JA+104
JA+105
JA+110
JA+111
JA+116

Modeler's depictions of JA+116, which is an unpainted metal finish, always show her with white wing surfaces. It is difficult to tell from photos whether JA+101 and other "metal finish" aircraft also shared this trait. However, many photos of USAF Starfighters share this trend so I think it is a fair bet that it was a fairly standard early finish. Unless other evidence is found or offered by someone more knowledgeable, I will finish ALL "metal" JG-71 skins with white wings. I have never seen a camo F-104G with white wings so i assume that the silver aircraft are earlier service examples, and the camo scheme was adapted later. Most of the photos of JG-71 aircraft show the code(eg. JA+101) in solid black, unlike the JG-74 schemes, which show the code outlined in white.

As it stands, my JA+101 and JA+116 skins will represent early run Luftwaffe aircraft and the rest later examples.

As before, blanks will be included. So round two will be 12 skins!

Take care!
