First of all, this is an absolutely beautifully modeled aircraft. Thank you very much.

However, I'm having difficulty building missions for it. The AI refuses to actually dive bomb a specified target. They don't even release their bomb ordinance on the target. The don't deploy their dive breaks. They don't dive at all. They just fly around the target aimlessly, then fly to the next waypoint. The AI does conduct a competent torpedo attack from low level, however. They will also area-bomb from high altitude when no target is specified at the GAttack waypoint like the level bombers do.   

I don't think that the problem is in my mission. The altitude is over 3500m, etc.The AI performs dive bombing very well in the same mission when the Barracuda is replaced by the SBD or SB2C. 

I don't know how you assign AI routines to the aircraft. But my impression is that the barracuda AI is considering itself to be like an TBF Avenger, when they probably should be considering themselves to be like an SBD or Stuka. Does that make sense?

I think the simple answer is that currently the Barracuda isn't declared a dive bomber code-wise.
Looks like an easy fix, I've put it on the to-do list.

Frankly I have no clue.
Do we have other planes in the game already which can fulfill all three tasks (level bombing, dive bombing, torpedo attacks)?
If so, I can rely on what's been done there.
If not, the outcome will be unpredictable ;)

The Ju-88 came to mind. But, there are separate slots for the torpedo carrying variants. And those carry ONLY torpedoes. And IIRC, don't have dive brakes Not sure if that is for historical reasons, or if that is going to be a game limitation.

Perhaps have two versions, one as a dive-bomber and one as a torpedo bomber? It will never be both in the same mission.
