I'm getting a 60% crash after putting this in the game.
Hi Bob,

This error means that either the plane's classfile or the flight model file is missing, or your game doesn't have a DiffFM mod installed.
DiffFM is part of Modact 5 for instance, but others might not have it by default.
The "P1Y1" mod folder should contain 1 folder ("3do"), 17 classfiles (hashed 16-character filenames without extension), 1 flight model file ("P1Y1_FM") and the readme.txt.

Hi Mike:

I'm using 4.12.2 with SAS ModAct 5.something (installed years ago) and the #SAS folder is heavily modded.

The "P1Y1" mod folder you mentioned has all the classfiles, 3do folder, and the P1Y1_FM file (I always remove the readme file when I install in the #SAS folder). The classfiles range in size from 1KB to 26KB and the P1Y1_FM file is 13KB.

Hope this helps get a solution.

Hmm, I get the "Pink Aircraft Bug" on this one. And in QMB, and FMB. What can I be doing wrong?  o_O

I've checked the entries (copy and paste, anyway), including the weapons.properties - which seems to be a common cause for this strange bug: weapons loadouts missing or mismatch.

I added it to the VP Mod Pack.

See in plane folder/3do/plane/P1Y1/summer...you have two skin1o.tgb files. Change and delete wrong one. Maybe this resolve your problem. Cheers!

I seem to remember Storebror telling another member in chat a while back that the next update to WAW would include the P1Y1, but that the completion of the B7A2 mod was one of the other factors "hindering" it's release. So, fairly soon after the release of the B7A2 (and possibly 101tfs' Ki-49 that's floating about in the WIP section) there's probably gonna be a WAW update with those aircraft in it.

New Version 1.2 is available in first post.
This version works for any base game version (4.09 Rebels just need to install an "AircraftLH Stub" Class Mod addon if they don't have it installed already).
The HD default skin is optional now.

The Cockpit now is equipped with a gunsight for dive attacks.
Sorry but it's not the historically correct "Type 3" one since that gunsight by ten010 contains a set of bugs which make it unsuitable for portation at the moment.
The gunsight used therefore is the stock Ki-45 one.
Thanks to trent for his cooperation on the gunsight implementation!
Overheating parameters have been adjusted to allow reaching the max. speed of 547 km/h @5900m altitude without overheating the engines.
4.09m and 4.10m based games use a different set of overheating parameters as the according calculations in these game versions are vastly different from later game versions.
Thanks to trent for debugging this issue!
Bomb bay door timing has been adjusted for 4.09/4.10 based games.
Engine smoke hooks have been fixed, thanks to ben_wh for debugging this issue!
Air Brake effectivity has been adjusted, thanks to ben_wh for debugging this issue!
The P1Y1 now implements the "TypeDiveBomber" class so AI can handle it properly too.
