Hi Dagger, I believe these aircraft are already included in C.U.P. just in their older versions.
If you are trying to install the newer versions of the engine mod and the marine aviation pack this is what I did:
disable the Classes-!SAS Engine Mod and install the new version (2.7.3W). Then install the Marine Aviation Java Pack & the Marine Aviation Pack. Be sure you add the new air ini lines in #JTW/std/com/maddox/il2/objects/air. You can add them anywhere you like but I put them where the old lines were. And just to be on the safe side I added Vega's Weapon mod v1.3 from here: https://www.mediafire.com/download/a2grqm218auxdpi/%21+00_WeaponsPack_V1.3_20160923.rar

Hi western!

With this new USMC Pack and the new EngMod 2.7.3w_full_20170208 + patch 20170209
it became impossible for me to do a F-18 carrier (BHR, Clemenceau, ShangriLa) take off.
Cat is way too strong, the F-18s nose is extremely pressed to Cat while starting and
the plane makes a kind of a "salto mortale  ;D" when getting airborne ..  o_O
F18s AI carrier takeoff and also Harrier Skijump takeoff (Player and AI) is OK.

could you please recheck this (or someelse else who is on same install level)
if its my install only or maybe a bug which comes with this new patches/versions?  ;)

I've not succeeded to solve the problem .... acceleration is different between Player and AI, yet.
I set the force value higher side making AI able to take-off.
For players, tuning the throttle on the catapult may solve it a half .... like setting the throttle 100% (non afterburner) or 95%.


In LOG I have dozens of "Meatball not found" error messages:

Meatball error may come from the parts of visual landing aid of the carrier is missing.
From the log, no information about what named carrier makes meatball parts missing, though.

Hm. Even with  throttle=0% its impossible to do a takeoff ..  :(

does it matter whether OldCatapultPowerCode is set 0 or 1 ?

Edit: did a successful takeoff, enabled the disabled BHR settings
in the catapult.ini. But its not a very "elegant" takeoff, more a bulls ride ..  :P
and its possible only when OldCatapultPowerCode is set to 1.

F/A-18 problem is not seen in my missions.
Its acceleration is hard and too high speed got at the end of the cat, impulsive nose-up and climbing done, but at last I succeed to take-off without breaking F/A-18 or its ordinances.
I'll wait others' reports.

Yes, have to rework the several BHR hier.hims (lights on etc) now with WinMerge
to have both ILS and all the goodies for BHR.   :P

when I have tested successfully them maybe I post them in the BHR thread then.  ;)

Well i guess i will wait a bit latter since there is some bugs going on.  I want the new version to be in my CUP because the F-18 i have in my CUP currently has landing issue that wasnt solved.  Im thinking that this new version is the fix.
