hoddyman, as explained before you need to have your engines running in order to see the prop's vectoring.
You will not see the prop hubs swiveling anymore like shown in the flapjack's demo video, that was a feature of the first version which was not historically correct.
Once your engines are running, you can see the props vectoring.
There is no chance to miss anything there.
Even the AI moves their props around.
If yours won't move, your game would crash.

Aha! Thanks for the clarification. Actually, even when the engines aren't running, I can see a pitch change in the props when moving the stick. I was looking for the spinners swiveling, but you say they don't do that, now. OK.

I dont think its a WIP. Look at the first post.

BUT
It may need some ION lasers and some Star Trek photon-torpedoes.

The question implies that you think something's missing.
If so, may I ask what you're thinking of (besides the suggestions from Max, which I agree are sorely missed)?

Dudes, I am only joking  :D I do not want any lasers or fancy Sci-fi stuff on this thing. lol
It looks futuristic enough for my taste as it is. It is an impressive looking aircraft just as it is.
Its just amazing how it flew.
I am more into the WW1 and WW2 era.
Its good enough for me. So I say, it is finished.

Its great that this aircraft was now made available, as it can create some "what-if" flying action scenes. The allies were missing
out on some bizarre looking aircraft for flying in this IL2-1946, to fight against that crazy looking Luftwaffe  "Lerche" ,
which came with the original game.
Both sides were building some bizarre looking flying machines and this is very interesting to me.

Give me some time to create a new template and then start painting some skins. At this moment its impossible as I
already have alot of stuff to work on. But I will make some "What-if" skins for us to enjoy. If anyone is interested and
wants to volunteer doing this job, go ahead ! Have some fun and be creative! We do need new skins for it.

Wasn't that quite obvious?
I've been hoping it'd be obvious that I'm just kidding, too :D

Thanks !
I did not notice that there was a new version !
I tried it in HSFX 7.03 .
I had to add Common Utils to make it work .

But there are still little problems :
1- we can see through the wings , there is small space :

2- when the propellers hit the ground while landing ( it can happen when using the wheels brakes to much ) , they stop rotating , but the blades appear still like having a kind of vibration

we can see through the wings , there is small space :
That's a common issue of many, if not most, of the mod aircrafts and it's even present in some stock planes.
It's because the cockpit has not explicitely been done for this type of aircraft, it's a stand-in from another one.
This issue will therefore remain as is, the improvement doesn't justify the work required to fix it.
If some 3D modder out there feels like working on it, be my guest ;)

when the propellers hit the ground while landing ( it can happen when using the wheels brakes to much ) , they stop rotating , but the blades appear still like having a kind of vibration
I'll check this and if it happens outside HSFX it will get fixed.

Upgraded my WAW to Part 22 yesterday, and of course the first test I made was a QMB starring the XF5U-1. The mission was Okinawa None, with four "veteran" XF5U v four "veteran" Model 54 Zeros. I did surprisingly well; bagged 3.5 Zeros. Beginner's luck. I suppose. I saved the mission, and I'm working up a set of screenies for a more appropriate thread. For now I'll post a "bells and whistles" shot I grabbed during the return leg. Couldn't resist. Note the altitude and, in particular, the speed. This is a sturdy beast:

With many thanks to 101tfs  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
