Thx guys,

the inspiration for the "cover art" was sporadic to be honest. I've always admired aviation art and artists. And Osprey covers are always a treat with the caliber of such artists as Ian Wyllie, Mark Postlethwaite (hope I didn't misspell anything there) and others.

P.S.
The actual skins: I may have overdone the weathering slightly  :-[

What a great idea, eMeL....by September 1940, many of Fighter Command's aircraft were looking somewhat second hand....those that survived long enough to develop a patina, anyway! ...and thank you for the hard work.
Almost 30 years ago One of my colleagues was a retired Wing Commander called Len Bartlett. He was a Sgt Pilot during the summer of 1940 on Hurricanes in 17 squadron based at Martlesham and Debden...some of the stories he told me would turn your hair white. He flew (YB) D often and I made a very special effort super detailing the 1/24 Airfix  kit as this aircraft, part of the 5th production batch and built by Gloster. I have the serial number in a book I have in storage at present....hope is still with us....
