if not for that, my collection would be around half of what it is

thanks mate - working on a new camera, and some improved lighting, then will show some pics that hopefully show it off a lot better.
as a youngster in South Africa, we only ever had access to Tamiya, Matchbox and Airfix kits.
i often found Airfix and Matchbox a bit iffy with fittings, but Tamiya has mostly been an absolute pleasure to build. if it's not fun, i try to avoid. i like to live by my profile motto!
These new (to me) kitmakers such as Eduard, Trumpeter, Meng are pretty pricey....
the Meng King Tiger in my collection looks rather daunting, at 608 parts! 
anyway, i enjoy the challenge
